Educational facilitator LENZ - Look Education New Zealand marked a successful week in China, strengthening its educational partnerships and celebrating key achievements, including the inauguration of a new aviation learning center. A major milestone was the opening of a learning center established in partnership between Ardmore Flying School in Auckland and Shandong Women's University. The new center focuses on training Chinese female pilots, who will earn internationally recognized New Zealand pilot licenses, equipping them for global aviation careers. 💥Practical part of the Bus Search Training on the 🇵🇱🇺🇦 border crossing point in Medyka. 📍This unique opportunity, when learners may check their #skills and fresh gained knowledge in a real #border environment, is possible only on CELBET #trainings. ✅ The visit on the Medyka BCP started with a short #tour, showing learners how is the border infrastructure organized and how the 🇵🇱National Revenue Administration #officers provide the inspection. 🛃 Trainees have been divided into 2️⃣ groups. One was checking buses on the lane and the other one have been controlling minibuses and luggages in a detailed #control building. 🌐Medyka BCP is one of the strategic points on the EU external border. Just after Russia attacked Ukraine, 3️⃣6️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣of passengers during 24 hours have been crossing the border. Before the war, it was 4️⃣ 0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ passengers. 📹📻 Bus Search training attracted attention of local Polish Television and Polish Radio and as a result evening news presented the event. 🏆Effectiveness, skills, #inspiration, different approach - these words appeared most often in the trainees’ feedback. They got back home with a key slogan: work smart, not hard !

#Cathay completed its Community Flight last week, marking the conclusion of a series of activities in support of the Hong Kong SAR Government’s Strive and Rise Programme. Launched in 2007, Cathay Community Flight is a key initiative aimed at promoting youth development. This year, over 180 students and mentors were taken on an extraordinary 90-minute journey over Hong Kong aboard the airline’s newly retrofitted Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. We're thrilled to be spotlighted in the Association of Colleges new report - ‘Mission accepted: the role of colleges across the government’s five missions’ as an example of how we're meeting skills needs. The pandemic has had severe consequences for the aviation sector, creating significant skills shortages and economic inactivity. To combat this, we collaborated with the Manchester Airport Group and launched the Manchester Airport Group (MAG) and offered sector-based work academy programmes (SWAPs) to equip jobseekers with skills needed for airport employment. By offering targeted training and skills development, the academy helps participants gain the qualifications and confidence needed to secure employment at the airport. There are five full-time staff working for the Airport Academy and in 2023/24, they supported nearly 2,000 individuals, achieved a 99% success rate and secured 314 job placements, a 40% increase from the previous year.
