🍷 Exciting Trends in Wine for 2024: The Rise of Neo-Négociants! 🌟 In the dynamic world of wine, a fascinating trend is set to emerge in 2024: the rise of the neo-négociants. But what exactly does this mean? Well, a négociant typically refers to a wine producer who doesn't grow their own grapes but sources them from various skilled winemakers. However, the neo-négociant takes it a step further – mastering both the art of winemaking and the savvy of a merchant, offering a diverse selection of terroirs to choose from. As this trend gains momentum, you may start seeing the code "RM" (Récoltant Manipulant) more frequently on wine bottles. But what does this code signify? These seemingly small letters hold significant importance, indicating whether the wine is an anonymous commercial blend, a bottling from a winegrowers' cooperative, or a personal producer's creation. For wine enthusiasts, understanding this distinction adds depth to their appreciation, as it reflects the wine's origin and quality. Now, we're curious – do you always pay attention to the RM code when selecting wines? 🍇 Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below! #NeoNégociants #WineTrends2024 #RMCode #WineEnthusiasts #PalTank

I believe that Italian wine producers and wine education materials should use/explain the expression "Vini Pregiati" more often. In the English-speaking world, there is a strong emphasis on "Fine Wines," while the French, especially in Bordeaux, leverage the expression "Grands Vins" to their advantage. It seems that "Vini Pregiati" was more commonly used in the past but has since been abandoned or used much less. I wonder why. This is an important term that conveys the same meaning as "Fine Wines" and "Grands Vins," expressing quality and a high-level position in the hierarchy. It should make a comeback. #italy #wine #vinipregiati #finewines #grandsvins #wineeducation
