How I Started My Journey with Just $300 and a Big Idea 🚀
Part 3:
Remember that time you splurged on a designer perfume, only to be left with a gorgeous, but empty, bottle gathering dust on your vanity?
I used to face the same dilemma, but it was magnified when I launched my perfume shop, C'ebon. After decanting larger bottles into smaller vials for customers, I was left with a mountain of stunning, yet empty, perfume bottles destined for the landfill. That's when a crazy idea struck... what if, instead of tossing them, I sold those beautiful (and often pricey!) bottles half-full?
It sounded crazy, but I knew people loved the look of perfume bottles as much as the scent. Why not give them a second life? ✨
Turns out, customers loved the idea! They got luxury fragrances at a lower cost, and I helped keep those beautiful bottles out of landfills. ♻️ But it got even better! Not only did this boost my profits, it also made my storage situation way easier (my bedroom warehouse was overflowing!). Talk about a win-win-win! 🏆
💎 Lesson learned: Sometimes, the best way to be sustainable is to think outside the box (or in this case, the bottle 😉).
