🚀 Exciting Innovation Alert! 🚀 In our new video, we demonstrate a three-material processing technique using powder bed fusion, enabling the production of battery cell housings made from Aluminum, Copper, and Ceramic—all in a single manufacturing step. This patent-pending approach allows the manufacture of geometrically flexible housings in small batch sizes, making it possible to quickly adjust designs without the need for new tooling. SABIC to Showcase High-Temperature Capacitor Film at PCIM Asia 2024 SABIC will highlight the first commercial application of its ELCRES™ HTV150A high-temperature capacitor film at PCIM Asia 2024. Nichicon Corporation has used this ultra-thin specialty film to develop high-temperature, high-voltage capacitors for DC-AC inverter modules in electric vehicles. This innovation boosts the efficiency of these power modules, meeting the industry's need for advanced film capacitors. Takashi Mori, General Manager of Nichicon's XEV Global Design Center, stated, "We're proud to be the first to develop capacitors that can withstand extreme temperatures and voltages using SABIC's film. This collaboration combines our engineering expertise with SABIC's material innovation." Compared to traditional solutions, capacitors made with ELCRES HTV150A film can operate reliably at temperatures up to 150°C and voltages up to 1000V. Nichicon and SABIC's partnership has successfully tested these capacitors, providing an excellent component for inverter module manufacturers. Visit SABIC's booth to see the capacitor prototype.
