Throwback to 2018, when I had the privilege of attending a week-long lecture series on Public Law by the renowned Prof. Mark Tushnet from Harvard University. This enriching experience, hosted during my tenure as an Assistant Professor at TNNLU, not only deepened my understanding of public law but also reinforced my passion for academic pursuits. Grateful for such opportunities to learn from and engage with global experts in the field of Law. #HarvardUniversity #MarkTushnet #LawAndJustice #TNNLU #LegalStudies #LawAcademia #GlobalExpertise #LawyersOfLinkedIn

Design Thinking and Law might seem like two separate fields at first glance, but they can work together in powerful ways, especially when it comes to creating innovative solutions in legal practice and policy-making. By combining the user-centered mindset of design thinking with the legal knowledge and framework, professionals can create more innovative, and equitable legal systems for the future. Its our pleasure to have Prof. Tsholofelo Tshabadira at School of Law, Woxsen University for the special lecture series. A big shout out to the School of Arts and Design for their incredible initiative with the International Professor's Residency Program! We are thrilled to announce that Professor Scott Howe has been selected as Professor of the Year, and that Professor Nahal Kazemi has been voted as 1L Professor of the Year for 2023-24. Their classroom contributions, published research, and frequent presence at recruitment events make them representative of the very best that our faculty bring to our students, to our University, and to the broader academic and legal communities. Even more wonderful is that our students led this effort to ensure that both of these excellent professors are recognized. #chapmanu #chapmanlaw #lawschoollife #law #lawschool #futurelawyer #lawprof

The Program on Law and Society in the Muslim World is a research program at Harvard Law School, with a mission to support rigorous and cutting-edge scholarship that addresses the complex relationships between law and society in Muslim majority and minority contexts around the world. Recognizing the complex legal, historical, socioeconomic, and political dimensions that characterize Muslim-majority and Muslim-minority contexts, we promote contextualized approaches to the study of law. ✨ Excited to wrap up my doctoral conference tour last Friday at my alma mater ELTE ÁJK with a discussion on the appellate courts' role in reviewing lower court judges' material conduct of proceedings, the crown jewel of my PhD thesis. Just the day before, I had the privilege of presenting at the Károli Gáspár University (official page), where I delved into the constitutional aspects of this topic, particularly focusing on fair trial and the right to be heard. As I reflect on these discussions, a crucial question emerges: Can the truth truly be developed in a civil proceeding? 🤔 #PhD #Law #AppellateCourts #ConstitutionalLaw #FairTrial #LegalResearch #CivilProceedings #ConferenceTour

I just covered a few bases in prep for another thought-provoking Constitutional Law class. Mr. Mokotedi's lectures on Thomas Hobbes' state of nature and the social contract have been incredibly insightful. It's fascinating to explore the philosophical underpinnings of our legal system and how they shape our society today. What's even more interesting is how an understanding of the law has shifted my perspective on many things I previously felt indifferent towards. I'm grateful for this newfound understanding. It's a reminder that knowledge truly is power. A pillar of pillars. #ConstitutionalLaw #Botswana #StudentLife #LawSchool
