Wow, 12 years already! It feels like just yesterday we started this incredible journey from the kitchen table—starting small but dreaming big. From day one, it’s been all about trust—being transparent, honest, and acting with integrity, doing what’s right for our employees, customers, partners, and giving back to the community. I want to give a massive THANK YOU to everyone who’s been part of this journey—our amazing employees (past and present), our customers who’ve trusted us with their projects, and our partner SAP. Delivering SAP transformations can be complex, but our business model is pretty simple: attract the best people with the right values, attitude, and passion, ensure an unwavering dedication to quality, and always do the right thing for our customers—consistently and transparently. That’s what we’ve built, and I’m immensely proud of it. With Pete Andrew on board as the new Managing Director and some exciting strategic hires coming up (watch this space!), I’m feeling energised about what’s ahead. While FAIR’s strategy and direction may have evolved over time, our values and our vision of putting trust back into consulting remain constant. Last but certainly not least, to my soulmate, my partner in crime, my business partner, the mother of our two beautiful children, and the love of my life, Sara Ebadi: there’s a saying, “Behind every successful man is a strong and patient woman.” In our case, you’re not just juggling everything in the background—you’re there through thick and thin, in FAIR Consulting Group and in our personal lives. In just one year’s time, we had a complete staff turnover. 🤯 It was brutal. 🥵 I learned a lot in that time, and the main thing was this: never compromise your values. 💯 You can find many skilled individuals in the world but that doesn’t make them the right person for your organization. ❌ 📝📥📓Despite knowing the HR rules, employment and labor laws, and best practices for hiring and retention, we did not get our culture right until I got clear about my personal values: innovation, candor, growth, volunteerism, independence. 🚀🙏🏼🤨 From there, I was able to finally articulate how I show my values in my work, and thus, how they show up in our organization if I am leading from my authentic place: 1. We challenge the status quo. 2. We are lovingly candid. 3. We value intentional growth. 4. We give back. 5. We believe in freedom. Our next step is to refine these further as an aligned group who agrees with these basic tenets. We will start by considering the specific examples of how they show up in our day to day lives and specifically identifying the people within our community (team, clients, vendors, referral partners) who demonstrate each of them. Start small. Start with you. 🙋 What do you value? How does that show up in your work? Do you see similarities with the people closest to you in life? 🤔 Does your team share these tenets or are you constantly wondering where their motivation comes from and why they don’t enthusiastically show to win every day? 🙃

Any woman who starts her own business inspires me. Yesterday I attended the 2-year anniversary celebration for Melanie Disse consultancy and am excited for her! Melanie built a great group of supporters who came to celebrate the event. Starting your own business from scratch is hard. Being a CX consultant is also hard. After working with amazing brands like Vodafone, IDC, Foodstuffs, Mercury and Fleetcor, Melanie decided to give it a go. She saw a gap in how companies use Voice of Customer programs to create better strategies for growth and retention. Today she’s thriving. She offers 3 types of services to businesses: 1. Advisory services and consulting 2. Fractional CXO/CCO support 3. Workshops and training Melanie complements in-house teams with her broader view of what strategies and technologies are effective in the market. But most importantly she loves what she’s doing! I admire people who have courage and are willing to try things out - it’s how you design the life you want. Melanie has taken that bold leap. My 2 year anniversary with Bet-David Consulting. 10 Lessons I learned: 1. The power of knowing yourself and how you operate. Finding what drives you. 2. Put yourself in rooms to reach your next paradigm shift. 3. Continue to re-create yourself. 4. Pressure is a privilege. 5. You will suck at your next level.. just power through it. 6. Don’t get quiet when pressure increases. Do the exact opposite. 7. Always have a carrot. You need to continue we have your next 15 to 20 moves in front of you. 8. The vision is real, but the enemy is also real. 9. Be careful sharing your ideas with small minds. 10. Protect your mindset at all costs. Learning the skill of compartmentalization.

Celebrated my 3rd year work anniversary with my wonderful Finance team in a wedding 'team building' theme. Why this theme? Just like getting married, building a high performing team is anchored on trust, respect, and commitment. That we treat each and everyone as part of the team's success. That if one gets stumbled or becomes weak, you can count on the other members to hold you tight until you are back on track and can stand on your own feet again. I am truly blessed that most of them stayed with me during my 3 years journey (and counting) in PB where almost half was added throughout those years. Such an honor to share with them this momentous event and I will forever be grateful that this also helped me become a better version of myself. I've had a fantastic few days celebrating a big birthday this week! Reflecting on the past year, which has been both personally and professionally challenging, has given me the chance to pause and think as I embark on a new decade. This milestone in my life has made me appreciate the journey of my consultancy business, which is celebrating its 6th anniversary this year. Over these years, there have been highs and lows and I’ve learned a lot. Today, I'm fortunate to work with wonderful clients, explore new ventures and continuously develop my business development and marketing skills. Milestones in life and work are essential markers of progress and achievement. They signify personal growth, transitions and collective accomplishments. As with any marketing strategy, each stage of growth, whether small or large, should be noted and celebrated, indicating progression, company growth and team achievements. This, in turn, boosts motivation and morale. As I move forward, I am excited about the new opportunities and challenges ahead.
