Students with disabilities in Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs can be certified for specific skills through microcredentials. Students can use these competency-based certifications to boost their resume and transition portfolio. Have you heard of CCRW | CCRT's FIRST (Fostering Inclusion in Red Seal Trades) Program? This incredible initiative, funded in part by the Government of Canada's Union Training and Innovation Program, offers support to students/apprentices in #RedSeal trades programs in Canada. Their goal is to break down accessibility barriers through individualized support to help tradespeople achieve Journeyperson certification. ✅ 🚧 What do they mean by barriers? CCRW knows barriers come in various forms, from physical injuries to ADHD, autism, learning/developmental barriers, vision/hearing impairments, and more.
