One of Kedleston's registered children's homes, High Peak House, was recently graded as outstanding in all areas with inspectors saying: "Children living in this home make excellent progress due to the consistently high standards of care provided by a highly skilled team." The report also noted that children made 'exceptional' progress in their education noting: "Children who have routinely not attended school or were disengaged from education before moving into the home now attend full time and are achieving their targets.
