Fairgrieve Law Office’s Post

Is your company trying to decide what benefit to add to your compensation packages? Consider adding childcare! A study from Boston Consulting Group and an organization called “Mom’s first” just found that a top investment a company can make is paid childcare for its employees. The study found that this benefit improves employee retention, productivity, and loyalty. Only 12% of American workers have access to paid childcare. It falls to 6% for part-timers and those in the lowest income bracket. The study shows offering childcare is an investment that pays for itself! For each $1 spent on Child Care by the companies interviewed, they’ve received benefits of between 90 cents and $4.25. So, spending $1 on childcare resulted in up to $4.25 in productivity gains and employee retention. Thanks to one of my favorite podcasts, The Best One Yet, for highlighting this story!
