One of the biggest factors that drew me to partner with dōTERRA originally was their Cō-Impact Sourcing initiative. Back then, I was living in the Northern Vietnamese Alps, surrounded by seven different ethnic minority groups, so I was really drawn to dōTERRA's sourcing approach. I spent a good two months digging into dōTERRA's sourcing practices to make sure they were as good as they claimed. It was reassuring to learn that dōTERRA partners with communities in more than 50 countries, ensuring their ingredients are sourced ethically and fairly. This approach helps to create top-quality products while also making a positive impact where it matters most, as most of these 51 countries are developing and require infrastructure support. Through these initiatives, dōTERRA builds strong connections with local distillers, farmers, harvesters, and community leaders. This way, we make sure that our supply chains not only benefit people but also enhance production methods and promote environmental sustainability. I visited Nepal in May 2023, It changed my life forever. I got to witness the work dōTERRA does on the ground and how it greatly impacts the lives of the communities dōTERRA touches. This is the story of Ramekwal, he began farming turmeric on a small parcel of land in Nepal that was leased to him by his neighbor. After a few years, Ramekwal and his wife made enough money to send their eight children to school. Turmeric essential oil comes from an underground plant stem called a rhizome. Many Indian and Nepalese farmers plant turmeric after growing sugarcane for a few years because turmeric renews soil nutrients. Sugarcane planted after turmeric often has a significantly higher yield. Three Ways to Benefit from Turmeric: 1. Diffuse for a warm, earthy aroma 2. Use in a face mask to reduce the appearance of skin blemishes, and for a healthy glow. 3. Take one drop of Turmeric internally for antioxidant support, which improves inflammatory response. When taken internally, metabolically your body is supported. #doterraindia #doterravietnam #doterradubai #holistichealthcoach #engageingood #doterracares #dhhftogether #dhhf

CLOSING CEREMONY OF INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF MILLETS 2023 ✓ Recently, the Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO) organised the closing ceremony of the International Year of Millets (IYM) 2023 at the FAO headquarters in Rome, Italy. ✓ The high-level hybrid event allowed participants to join both in-person and virtually. ✓ It was graced by esteemed dignitaries from various parts of the world. ✓ The event showcased a series of insightful discussion and presentations underscoring the importance of Millets in achieving sustainable development goals and its emergence as ' Global Superfood'. * Let's know more about:- International year of Millets (IYM) 1. Following a proposal by India, backed by more than 70 countries, the United Nations General Assembly, at its 75th session in March 2021, declared 2023 as the International Year of Millets. 2. The year-long celebration raised awareness about: • the nutritional and health benefits of Millet consumption. • the suitability of Millets for cultivation under adverse and changing climatic conditions. • the benefits of creating sustainable market opportunities for producers and consumers. * About Millets:- • small-grained, annual, warm weather cereals belonging to the grass family. • staple crops of the semi-arid tropics, as other food crops cannot be cultivated in that terrain due to low rainfall and poor soil fertility. • They also have higher nutrient content compared to major cereal crops and ensure food and nutrition security. • Further, Millets are tolerant to drought and other extreme weather conditions and hence are endemic to such geographies. • Jowar(sorghum), Bajra(pearl millet), and Ragi(Finger millet) are the important Millets cultivated in India. • Small Millets such as Proso (Cheena), Kodo (kodra, Arikelu), Fox tail (kangni/korra), Barnyard (varai, sawai) and little millet (kutki) are also grown in our country. 🌿The CGIAR #NaturePositive Solutions Initiative is making strides in supporting tribal farmers in India by enhancing the market for amchur, a spice made from unripe mangos. This initiative, involving CGIAR, the BAIF Development Research Foundation, and local farmers, aims to conserve rare mango trees and boost incomes through sustainable practices and fair value chains. Local communities in Shahada district rely on mango cultivation, turning unripe mangos into amchur—a tangy spice integral to Indian cuisine. Despite challenges such as market access and production quality, the initiative is focusing on improving value chains. Learn more: https://lnkd.in/dim7CTpg #Biodiversity
