As I reflect on Cohort 2 of the DigiGirls Data Analysis program, I am deeply inspired by the hard work, dedication, and resilience of our students. Over the past three months, they delved deep into the world of data, uncovering valuable insights and transforming raw information into meaningful narratives using SQL and Excel. They learned to query databases, manipulate data, and perform analysis, culminating in hands-on projects that showcased their newfound expertise. Throughout this journey, I have also learned, unlearned, and relearned valuable lessons in people management, the power of feedback, and the application of cutting-edge analytical techniques. Today, I am thrilled to announce the commencement of the DigiGirls x DigiChampions Data Analysis Cohort 3 Orientation, just a few hours away! This promises to be an insightful and enriching experience. Situation: We had skewed data and we had to do the log transform. Now, to get the original data back we need to do the antilog of the values. Subject Matter: ⁉ What are the best ways of dealing the error introduced while antilog? YYC DataCon 2024 is in the Books Shout out to all the talented and dedicated folks at the YYC Data Society for another very successful conference. The honour of kicking off the Saturday roster of presentations fell to me, and I really enjoyed the space, the people, and the audience participation. (Thanks again to Marc Nolte, CDMP, CDP for being in the right place at the right time to resurrect my deck!) In the process of developing the content for my presentation I had a sort of epiphany I'd like to share. When we start data journeys from first principles instead of resource-intensive processing technologies interesting, and very valuable, benefits ensue. FAIR is a great example of this, and companies such as Roche and AstraZeneca are proving this out in a big way. Semantium' faceted classification protocol is an excellent platform for making FAIR data real. The fact that the protocol is applied at very granular levels (read: single token) of business language leads to another revelation and the theme of my presentation: When we apply consistent identity, class, and semantic equivalence to business language from which to create FAIR data components, we can develop any structural and procedural representation of more complex applications without any loss of meaning or identity.

Users can access over 8,500 #datasets from various Dutch data providers, including Centraal Bureau voor de Statistiek, LISS panel, DANS and institutes affiliated with DataverseNL. This update introduces a filtering option for #licenses, making it easier to search for open-access datasets. Additionally, the Portal now offers #metadata in Croissant format, a standardized format used for #MachineLearning applications, which improves the #interoperability of the metadata available.
