3D webdesign is clearly warming up.

I live near Orlando, and an interesting trend is moving away from 3D projections in theme park rides to 2D. In some cases, existing 3D attractions are being converted to 2D. Why has the general public been so unreceptive to 3D? 3D movies aren't really a thing anymore, nor are 3D TV's - even though they had gotten pretty good. VR is still failing to attract a mainstream audience, despite the availability of quality, inexpensive headsets.
