Starbucks is in trouble again. This article analyzes where it went wrong and offers ideas for how the company can turn itself around. Howard Schultz’s open letter, which followed another he issued in February, largely echoes the growing sentiments of many long-time customers: Going to Starbucks isn’t what it used to be, and the brand itself isn’t what it used to mean. The fundamental problem: Starbucks has been commoditizing itself. Read the article: https://lnkd.in/dxi3YMaR #strategy #efficiency #goals #cx #leadership #workplaceculture #starbucks

Howard Schultz, former CEO of Starbucks, made this statement as a reflection of his own journey with Starbucks. When he first envisioned transforming Starbucks from a small coffee retailer into a global brand, many doubted his ambitious goals. However, Schultz believed in his vision and refused to let others doubtfulness deter him. His experience taught him that aiming high is essential for innovation and growth and that the greatest achievements often come from pursuing what others may consider impossible. This statement is a reminder to stay true to your vision, even when it challenges conventional thinking. #Leadership #Starbucks #Ambition #Motivation #GrowthMindset

Howard Schultz is a genius. Period. He took Starbucks from a local coffee shop to a global powerhouse. His leadership, vision, and relentless pursuit of excellence are undeniable. But here’s the thing – Schultz’s strength lies in his ability to create an unparalleled coffee experience, not in chasing social credit. Starbucks became great because it focused on serving customers and creating a unique third place that paid respect to the historical significance of coffee. That’s what Schultz does best. He built a brand based on quality, consistency, and an exceptional customer experience. In recent years, however, the focus has shifted. Instead of doubling down on what made Starbucks successful – the coffee, the experience, the connection – there’s been a push towards social initiatives. And while these are important, they shouldn’t overshadow the core business. Starbucks needs to remember his roots and get back to what he does best. Starbucks thrives when it’s about the coffee, the people, and the experience. Let’s get back to that. What do you think? PS: Starbucks - stop giving your customers reasons to call your product "charbucks".
