Thank you for your generosity on Giving Tuesday! We appreciate you choosing to make a difference with us and joining in the work of building community wealth and helping to ensure the economic well-being of our most disenfranchised families and communities through your donation! How will you see your “dollars at work?” * Fund critical research through the Black Community Wealth Institute to identify barriers and solutions for building Black wealth, like our "Building a Beloved Economy" and "Standing on Business Brief" that ultimately leverages your dollars to marshal public and private investments to support chronically disinvested communities. * Accelerating promising policy solutions to achieve scalable impact. We are co-leading a coalition to launch a baby bonds program for children born into households with the lowest wealth. * Support and expand a dynamic coalition of Black Community Wealth Network, connecting over 40 organizations that are advancing a shared results agenda to bolster collective Black wealth across the South. Bolster capacity for Business Serving Organizations (BSOs) to enhance support for small businesses through technical assistance and building operational infrastructure for businesses. * Support shared ownership models, like employee-owned businesses, to create sustainable wealth for communities. Your support is an investment in a new future of shared prosperity. #youarekindredfutures #wearekindredfutures

✨ Prevention starts with YOU. At the Erin Levitas Foundation, we believe in a world where every child grows up safe, where parents and caregivers feel empowered to have open conversations about respect and boundaries, and where educators are equipped to create safe and inclusive learning environments. But prevention doesn’t happen on its own—it takes education, resources, and a dedicated community to make it possible. 💡 Your donation fuels transformative programs like: ERIN Talk, which provides children with age-appropriate tools to navigate relationships and understand consent. Parent Talk, helping caregivers start conversations that empower their kids. Teacher Talk, equipping educators with strategies to foster healthy and respectful environments. Every dollar you give directly impacts children, families, and educators, creating ripple effects that extend far beyond the classroom. You’re not just supporting education—you’re changing futures, helping reduce harm before it begins, and building a safer, more compassionate world for generations to come. ❤️ This holiday season, make prevention your legacy. Together, we can rewrite the story and ensure a brighter tomorrow for every child. 📲 Donate today and join the movement: https://bit.ly/4gpkWve

As we approach the end of the year, I’m reflecting on the incredible progress we’ve made together at the Mississippi Center for Justice (MCJ). Thanks to your support, we’ve been able to make meaningful strides in ensuring underserved communities, particularly in the Mississippi Delta, gain access to essential resources—like broadband—that are critical for education, economic development, and overall well-being. This year, we prioritized broadband access, working with Delta school districts to challenge inaccurate broadband maps. These maps determine crucial funding, and inaccuracies can leave communities without essential resources. Our efforts helped schools and families advocate for the support they deserve. Broadband access is essential for education, economic growth, and opportunity. By ensuring these areas are properly represented, we’re building a pathway to digital equity. But our work isn’t over. As we head into the new year, I invite you to continue supporting MCJ’s fight to bridge the digital divide. Your year-end gift will directly support our broadband advocacy, ensuring Mississippi’s underserved communities get the resources they deserve. Let’s continue this important work together. Erin Thibodeaux-Davison is the President & CEO at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southwest Louisiana, an organization that is marking 45 years of offering critical youth mentoring programs in Louisiana. We talk about resiliency, and what it means to lead an organization through FOUR federally named disasters within a year (not to mention a pandemic). We discuss: * Valuable lessons for nonprofit leaders about surviving – and even thriving – in the midst of mother nature’s chaos (and coming out even stronger on the other side). * The need for volunteer mentors. * BBBS of SWLA’s Big Defender Fund https://lnkd.in/evBgBAXS

Being educated and aware of Stroke symptoms can help save a life.
For Hayden Homes , the impact of stroke is personal (their story via link below). In 2023 Hayden Homes presented a check to SAO for $100,000 representing a four-year commitment of funding to the organization. As a Stroke Awareness Oregon Board Member, our board and executive team are grateful to Hayden Homes, title sponsor, for their support of SAO helping bring Randy and Mary Travis to Central Oregon. “This event is a chance to raise awareness and much-needed funds to help prevent others from being impacted or losing their loved ones to the heartbreaking effects of stroke," said Deborah Flagan , vice president of community engagement and giving with Hayden Homes. Our initiatives help communities understand why investing in early childhood education is essential. We focus on racial equity, explaining why it's crucial to close the opportunity gap for children of color. We engage business leaders and elected officials to support early care and education, and we amplify the voices of communities and families to guide decision-making. We also provide policy analysis, resources, and data to inspire innovation and action for change. Your donation will help us create a society where all children and families are thriving and no one has to choose between their family, health, or livelihood: https://bit.ly/NCECFDonate
