Reels are really easy, even in the off-season. While the idea might seem daunting, especially without the summer action, there are so many ways to make quick and easy reels for your page when you're not at camp! 🎥 Video slideshows are an easy way to repurpose unused photos. Put those pics on a timeline, and post them in a way the algorithm will reward: a reel! 🎥 Check in with your camp. Whether it’s in your office or out and about, talking heads are easy content. Talk about something camp related, and be yourself! 🎥 Tap into the trends. There is NOTHING better than seeing camp leadership partake in that funny trend you’ve been seeing all over the place! Whether it’s a dance, an ad lib, or any other quirky trend that emerges in the off season; this content is doable with an awesome payoff!

Dreading making small talk and mingling at the office holiday party? You're not alone. Let's make it better for everyone. Start here: What do people like to talk about most?... Yes, of course: themselves. So begin by asking people questions they'll actually want to answer, they'll have fun answering, and that you are genuinely curious about: 🎓 Education (with a twist): How did you land a job in marketing with an art history degree? What did you find most surprising about the transition from school to the world of work? 📌 Professional background: What was your first job? What was different about the company when you joined? How have things changed since you joined the team? 📺 Pop culture, sports, and news: No one wants to talk shop at the holiday party. Seriously. Instead: Are you watching Rivals yet on Hulu? (It's a must!) What's your podcast of choice right now? Where do you land on the NYE ball drop — love or hate? Would you pay to go to Times Square or pay not to be there? What are some of your strategies to get the conversation going and connect at the holiday party?

A few things we do in our weekly full team meetings… 1. Share last week’s “wins of the week” to start off the meeting on a positive note. 2. Quick updates & info from me and each department leader. 3. Platforms and Culture… This is where we share platform & algorithm types of updates happening across social media. We then layer that with seasonal and cultural trends to pay attention to. 4. Updates from our 3 internal committees: Brick Campus Connect, Brick Community Impact, and Brick Team Wellness. Each committee has a committee leader. 5. Updates on Brick’s internal marketing efforts (like our podcast) and our own social media platforms. 6. Shoutouts and special recognition… This gives everyone the chance to shout out another team member or show them love for something they did recently. This part always gets everyone in their feelings. 😂 7. Open discussion for anyone else who has an update or something to share! — The meeting typically lasts 45 minutes or so.
