Well done to a big 8 years at Hays Michael Li. I admire the belief you have in what you do. You have taught me what it really means to be a Learner. “I like understanding new things” or “I’m open minded” is miles and miles away from what you are - CliftonStrength #2 Learner. To be a Learner is an insatisable desire and talent to know every nook and cranny of a complex system with no direction but your own volition to acquire knowledge. What most people would take one look at and say “too hard” or “I just need you to tell me what to do”, Learners possess an incredible power to dissect every aspect of the task at hand, understand it, and rebuild it better. You listen to every point that is being said and you’re not fooled by the fluff or “charm” or charisma. You will stand your ground, even if no one else is there to back you. You have my admiration. Keep being everything that I’m not so I can continue to learn from you. Thank you. #congratulations #8years #learninganddevelopment #cliftonstrengths

🚀 Celebrating Dedication in Action 🚀 This week, I’m inspired by the story of a remarkable young Black male (Marcus) from Rising Sun Center for Opportunity who took his career aspirations to the next level. His unique dedication was evident when he drove from California to Idaho for a Class A driving test—a move that truly sets him apart. His commitment and unwavering dedication to his career are truly inspiring. 🚗💪 His journey wasn’t just about getting a license; it was a testament to his drive, passion for his profession, and willingness to do what it takes, even when others say differently. This determination sets candidates apart (in a BIG way) and opens doors in any industry. His commitment paid off as he landed the job he had worked hard to secure. 🌟🔧 But the construction industry is his desired outcome. His story is a shining example of how dedication can lead to career success, inspiring us all to strive for our goals. In construction, showing such dedication is a game-changer. It's not just a signal to employers that you’re serious, resilient, and ready to go the extra mile but also a key to career advancement. Whether relocating for a test or mastering a new skill, this proactive attitude can make all the difference in building a successful career. This proactive approach can empower you to take control of your job and pave the way for your success. Let’s celebrate this achievement and recognize the power of dedication in building successful careers. If you have a story of commitment or perseverance, share it below—let’s inspire each other! If you would like to know more about Marcus or hire him, please get in touch with me.

Good morning my professional friends and family! We all have talents, whether it’s a skill, a passion, or something that just comes naturally to us. These talents aren’t just random—they’re gifts, and it’s up to us to use them in a way that makes a difference. It’s like being handed a precious tool; what really matters is how you choose to use it. When you put your talents to good use, you’re not just making the most of what you’ve been given—you’re also honoring that gift by giving something valuable back. Whether it’s helping others, creating something meaningful, or excelling in your work, using your talents is a way of showing gratitude and making an impact. So, don’t let your talents go to waste. Figure out what you’re good at and find ways to use those abilities to make a positive difference. That’s how you turn your gifts into something even greater—a contribution to the world and a way to give back to something bigger than yourself. Your talent is God’s gift to you. What you do with it is your gift back to God. - Leo Buscaglia

Gen Z, we're early in our careers, which means we have a world of opportunities. But we're only as good as our last success. The last big project that was a big win. The last presentation where you killed it. The last time you solved a huge problem saving everyone time. We shouldn't let ourselves lose motivation. Instead we should use our wins to move forward. I've been complacent. Patting myself on the back for a win that's months old. Not using that momentum. That's what you shouldn't do. Take what you've done and compound it. You can always do better. While still appreciating your wins and accomplishments. This means taking time to celebrate. And still looking towards the future. What was your last big win?
