DYNAMIC SHIFT IN CAREER SUBJECT OPTIONS AT INTERMEDIATE LEVEL Being a Chairman & Co founder of one of the leading colleges in Karachi, I have observed a noticeable shift in priorities among students during the selection of career fields at the time of admission in Intermediate Aga Khan board as well as Khi board, While Computer Science remains a solid choice for a significant 54%, enticed by its opportunities in technology and innovation especially post COVID era faced disruption in the digital world. While Pre Medical to remain the second best choice with 26% half of the students opt Pre Medical because "options khulay rahay gey for future field selection" . Commerce attracts 12% students with its focus on business and finance or having a perception that it's comparatively easy in contrast to other major subjects, while Pre Engineering and Humanities each at 4% only because of limited career options & opportunities in Pakistan. These percentages underscore a diverse spectrum of interests and aspirations, reflecting evolving priorities in today's competitive academic landscape. Weekly Update is here 😅! I know that I am coming back after a long time but was busy this month as audit season was around the corner and I was also involved in the shifting as well as I have recently moved to the Bahria Town Rawalpindi. Well all that is done now. I will be coming up with technical articles in the next year and many weekly updates to come as well. During the past few weeks I have been working on multi academy trust accounts. The complexity of MAT as compared to SAT is mainly because of school wise breakup of entries as we have to prepare school wise funds which is the disclosure in accounts. An example would be that if we have reclassified deferred income to Current year income. We must know that which school or schools it relates to. As a reclassification which is from balance sheet to income statement will hit the funds. That will be all. I will meet you in next year and in next weekly update. Dear ICAP, Instead of Testing technical Knowledge, skills and Competencies relating to specific subject why you focus on irrelevant and unnecessary things? ● Why you test Student's traveling capacity by making centre outside the main city Even Facilities in Few Govt. Schools are better than Islamabad Centre specially Ibadat University. ● Almost 50% Students faced problems in all main centres (Lahore, Islamabad and Karachi) Why you can't test the system before going to implement new policy. No. of Students in BFD were much higher than remaining CBE exams in previous attempt that's why your system/software was too slow to use. ● Students have to efforts for 6-12 months for 3.5 hours of exams and what they faced during the exams can't explain in words. ● In Previous attempt, same happened with TPP exams in Lahore centre. In 6 months period instead of improvement Students are facing worse things. Why this system failure (affecting huge no of students ) never happened in ACCA ? #ICAP #BFD #CAFinal #CAStar #Exams

Over 16,500 Students at University of Karachi Owe Rs 2.1 Billion in Unpaid Fees The University of Karachi (KU) has revealed that 16,506 students from its morning, evening, and MBA programs have not paid fees totaling over Rs 2.1 billion between 2020 and 2024.
