🌱From August, growers will have access to a new precision farming tool, #FieldSense, offered by ProCam UK Limited. This tool provides a comprehensive approach to precision farming and data evaluation, allowing customers to subscribe to specific functionalities or the entire farm based on their preferences. The app-based functions encompass key features such as field performance evaluation, weather data, variable rate prescription plans, field reports, and scouting tools. What sets #FieldSense apart is its core focus on agronomy, aiming to enhance the partnership between Procam agronomists and customers for informed decision-making. By utilizing field performance maps and satellite imagery from providers like #Planetscope and #Sentinel2, growers can optimize crop performance through variable rate applications of nutrients like nitrogen. Procam highlights successful trials of FieldSense, including the use of biomass data for historical analysis and optimizing green area index in oilseed rape fields. The company believes that the platform's accessibility and the SFI PRF1 action payment incentive will facilitate growers in adopting precision farming practices. With evolving technology and increased retrofit options, Procam envisions a shift towards precision tools that cater to various farm sizes.
