The Copropel consortium successfully held a one-day workshop hosted by LOIRETECH on April 11, 2024, in Nantes, France. This event gathered industry professionals from the marine sector across Europe, creating a valuable opportunity for networking and knowledge sharing. Attendees witnessed the collaborative spirit and widespread interest in the consortium's initiatives. Throughout the day, the Copropel team shared detailed accounts of their project experiences, highlighting both their successes and challenges. They discussed various techniques and methodologies used in their projects, offering insights into best practices and innovative solutions. Topics ranged from advanced composite manufacturing processes to sustainability practices, showcasing the comprehensive scope of the Copropel consortium's work. The workshop facilitated an engaging exchange of ideas and expertise, fostering a collaborative environment where attendees could learn from one another and explore potential partnerships. The event underscored the importance of cross-industry collaboration in driving technological advancements and addressing common industry challenges. By sharing their knowledge and experiences, the Copropel team contributed to the collective growth and progress of the industry, reinforcing their commitment to innovation and excellence. The consortium plans to organize another workshop later this year to share the latest updates on their projects and initiatives. Thrilled to announce our pivotal role in the EU's TWINAIR project, championing research and advancements in indoor air quality. 🚀 🌿 In alignment with the European Green Deal, the TWINAIR project, spanning until August 31, 2026, is a collaborative effort involving 23 partners from 10 European countries. Coordinated by the University of Patras, Greece, and funded by Horizon Europe, our goal is to optimize urban life by exploring the chemical and biological aspects of indoor air. 🌐 Leading the way in German representation are Centrum Industrial IT (CIIT) and the Institut für industrielle Informationstechnik (inIT) at Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The project's indoor air quality test location is our very own CIIT building at Innovation Campus Lemgo. Using both static and dynamic data, we created a digital twin for monitoring and improving air quality. 🍃 In the middle of the epidemic, the TwinAIR project highlights the critical requirement of efficient airflow and indoor air quality. 💨 We are attempting to set indoor air quality standards by carefully identifying and evaluating variables, which is a step toward the larger objective of attaining a pollutant-free environment by 2050. 💡Did you know that the building sector is the largest energy consuming unit and responsible for 36% of the carbon emission in the EU? 🍃 Although green and sustainable bonds are accelerating, it was during 2023 representing 97M Euro. 🔎 To put this figure in perspective, the outstanding amount of covered bonds is about 3T Euro, meaning that the sustainable bonds only represents a small fraction, ~3%.   📈 If we utilize the same growth rate (60%) from the past 10 years for the green and sustainable bonds, it will in 2030 grow to 2.3T Euro. Connecting the German-Dutch ecosystem on the topics of #Battery, #Hydrogen, #CircularEconomy, #MedTech and #AdvancedManufacturing & #Robotics to promote innovation in the border region - that is one of the goals of the TECH.LAND initiative.   And that was also the focus of an initial exchange with the Achterhoek region 8RHK. Cross-border cooperation between business, science and public institutions took centre stage in an exchange with Joris Bengevoord, Mayor of the municipality of Winterswijk and also Chairman of the Euregio, as well as ambassadors of the 8RHK thematafels from the Achterhook and several TECH.LAND cluster managers!   After brief status reports on the progress of the work in the thematic clusters and a lively discussion, everyone agreed: ▶ Ecosystems for the individual topic areas exist on both sides of the border - they just need to be linked! ▶ We need ‘brokers’ who know and can support German and Dutch processes/projects and companies! ▶ Existing projects need to be publicised! ▶ The right people need to be brought together! ▶ Questions of small and medium-sized companies need to be answered! ▶ Relationships must be established and concrete projects must be organised as sustainably as possible! In true Dutch style, the circle is determined to ‘just start small’!
