The Distributed Renewable Integration and Vehicle Electrification (DRIVE) Act (H.B. 1256) recently passed by the Maryland General Assembly mandates electric utility companies to allow vehicle-to-grid systems to interconnect with the state’s electric distribution network.
This law makes Maryland the first state in the nation to require such interconnection, marking a significant milestone in sustainable energy policy.

An excellent article from my PSC colleague Matthew Robinson all about how we can harness the power of working together, in ways we never even thought possible, (though some of this has already been happening for years now) through sector coupling. It is truly an exciting time to be a part of the energy transition!
Sector coupling is revolutionizing the rapidly changing energy landscape. It challenges traditional energy systems, pushing boundaries and sparking innovation. But here's the exciting part: it doesn't threaten the existing system; instead, it presents a golden opportunity for everyone involved.
PSC invites you to check out an insightful article on sector coupling in Power Engineering International, where our very own Matthew Robinson explores the intersection of different energy sectors.
