Its operation is based on Bernoulli's principle, where a plate with a hole (the orifice plate) is placed in the pipeline. Efficiency from flue gas treatment! Caligo CSx flue gas scrubber is developed not only to recover heat form gases, but also to solid particle filtering and sulphur oxide (SO₂) removal. Basic features of the system provide a high filtration level (to <50 mg/Nm3) for solid particles above 2 μm in diameter, provided that incoming particle load is <250-300 mg/Nm3. Caligo CSx system is also available with boosted solid particle filtering capabilities (optional feature). In this case, particle load to the scrubber can be increased 3–6 times the standard level, which in some cases allow electrostatic precipitators to be left out of the plant process. Please note, that efficient removal of particle diameters below 2 μm typically requires the use of electrostatic pre-filtering in the plant process. A U-tube bundle is a heat exchanger employed in the #urea pool reactor or pool condenser design to produce low-pressure steam for downstream applications. This includes, for example, heating and desorption and being a driving force for the vacuum ejectors. In the U-tube bundle, low-pressure steam is produced on the tube side, while high-pressure ammonium #carbamate is produced on the shell side. The steam pressure at the tube side of the high-pressure pool condenser or pool reactor is controlled by a pressure control valve in the steam discharge line of the low-pressure steam drum, which consequently affects the synthesis pressure.
