Four Pillars of the Legislation: The legislation revolves around four key pillars:Facilitating Access and Usage of Financial Products and Services: Aiming to break barriers for the disadvantaged to seamlessly access and utilize financial offerings. Consumer-driven banking, or #openbanking, can be a game-changer for this country. It empowers customers with greater control over their financial data, fosters innovation and competition in the financial sector (which we sorely need), enhances convenience, and improves security and privacy measures. The multi-partisan vote in our House of Commons yesterday to approve second reading on bill C-365 shows that we are finally on track towards a financial ecosystem that puts Canadians first.

This is great news for Canadians! Affordability and efficiency are top-of-mind for many of us these days, and open banking (consumer-driven finance) is a no-brainer if we want to maximize our individual time and money.
