Our disconnection and disengagement crisis is a *skill* issue. The more we've learned to communicate via short transactions, the less we've had to use the skills to see, hear, value, and understand each other. The less we use a skill, the less proficient we become. A key way we'll solve our loneliness, disconnection, and disengagement crises at work and beyond is by relearning the human skills to show the person in front of us how they're significant to us. Thanks, Jean Moncrieff, for a great conversation on the skills of purposeful leaders. 🎧 https://lnkd.in/eWvnEKEY #leadership #wellbeing #mattering

Leadership is a balance of integrity and example. 🌱 A true leader understands that empowering employees to do the right thing—even when it challenges the company’s immediate interests—builds a stronger culture of trust and accountability. Equally important: Leading by example. Great leaders never ask others to do something they wouldn’t do themselves. Actions always speak louder than words. 💡 How are you demonstrating leadership in your everyday work? With the wonderful Gretchen Espinosa! #leadershipinsight #ethicalleadership #leadwithaction

One of the best reads on leadership. We are here to GIVE
“You are here to give” In the policing profession we are trusted to protect the vulnerable from harm. We are here to give of ourselves and help them on their darkest days. Seldom do we get the call to assist someone when things are going well. On the worst hour of the worst day. We are there to give. This holds true for how we lead as well. As leaders, we are given the responsibility and opportunity to model what this looks like; to create an intentional culture that prioritizes heart forward leadership, which cares deeply for those we inspire, and enables our personnel to effectively serve others. It is imperative for us to remember that this mindset should be the very foundation of our #leadership values.

Leadership is not for the faint hearted. It takes courage to make tough decisions, even if it means putting your job on the line. But what happens when those decisions lead to destruction? In those moments, it's important to take a step back and seek advice from trusted sources. The world values those who build, not those who tear down. Let's strive to be constructive leaders who bring positive change to our organizations and communities. Dedicated to Mr. LKY #leadership #nationbuilding https://lnkd.in/e_X-CpJf
