#DYK that today is the World Water Day? So, World Water Day, established by the UN and held annually since 1993, highlights the critical need for clean water around the world. It's a day to recognize the 2.2 billion people living without safe water and to take action to solve this crisis. A key goal is reaching Sustainable Development Goal 6, which aims for clean water and sanitation for everyone by 2030. Another fact is while water sources crossing borders are vital for over 3 billion people worldwide, only a meager 24 countries have cooperation agreements in place for all their shared waters. Then, what's your take on today's recognition, #CXFriends? #CarbonX #CarbonXIndonesia #WorldWaterDay #WaterforPeace #WaterSecurity #WaterforLife https://lnkd.in/gb85e9vv

September 7 is the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies. A day when people worldwide unite to reduce air pollution. According to the UN Environment Programme, the transport sector is the fastest-growing contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, predicted to account for over 30% of total emissions. However, McKinsey reports that the sales of battery-electric and fuel-cell electric vehicles are expected to rise from 5% of new-car sales in 2023 to 100% by 2050 globally. The UAE has committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions to 182 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent by 2030. At Al Khoory Group, we actively support the UAE’s environmental goals. Last year, Al Khoory Automobiles announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) to introduce Yutong electric buses into the city's public transport network. These green buses are part of the ITC’s Green Bus Program. Al Khoory Automobiles has initiated the delivery of Yutong electric buses to the ITC this year. Let’s continue to work together as a community to overcome air pollution and protect our planet's atmosphere. 🌏🩵 Stay tuned for more updates! #TogetherForCleanAir #SustainableFuture #GreenTransport

𝗔𝗱𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗶𝗿 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗶, 𝗜𝘁𝗮𝗹𝘆 The Brindisi Harbor faces significant air quality challenges due to multiple dust sources like urban emissions, airport activity, and ferries. Additionally, the region often experiences the Sahara dust effect, further complicating the situation. In collaboration with @LabService Analytica, Palas GmbH deployed advanced monitoring devices, including the AQ Guard Smart 1100 and AQ Guard Smart 2000 UFP analyzer, to measure fine dust fractions (0.18 - 18 μm) and nanoparticles (10 nm - 1 µm). These tools provided valuable insights into the local air quality, helping identify key sources of particulate matter and informing strategies to mitigate pollution. To further discuss advancements in air quality monitoring and the latest EU regulations, don’t miss the Air Quality Forum—now rescheduled for February 26–27, 2025. The updated program is available, and registration is open! https://buff.ly/3VU9Mpp #AirQuality #EnvironmentalMonitoring #Palas #CleanAir #Sustainability #SmartTech #AQForum2025

Nestled in the Himalayas, the Atal Tunnel, also known as the Rohtang Tunnel, stands as a testament to human engineering prowess. Named after former Prime Minister Shri. Atal Bihari Vajpayee, this marvel stretches 9.02 kilometers, connecting regions and bridging the gap between innovation and environmental consciousness. At an altitude above 10,000 feet, the Atal Tunnel is the highest highway single-tube tunnel in the world. The Border Road Organisation took on this challenge to enhance accessibility and connectivity. Collaboration and Innovation 🌿🔍 In a remarkable partnership, Acoem India and Savronic Sistem India Pvt. Ltd. have advanced environmental monitoring at the Atal Tunnel. The installation of the Ambient Air Quality Monitoring System (AAQMS) with three gas analyzers and advanced Weather Monitoring Instruments at both portals marks a groundbreaking step. Advanced Air Quality Monitoring 🚇💨 This system serves as an inspiration, demonstrating the power of innovation and collaboration. In this ecologically sensitive zone, the AAQMS helps safeguard the delicate ecosystem from climate change and melting ice. 🔑Key Benefits: - Understanding Vehicular Impact: Provides crucial data on vehicular emissions - Safety with Innovative Lumiose Light Control: Enhances visibility and security - Health and Environmental Protection: Continuous air quality monitoring - Delivering Against All Odds: Successful implementation in challenging conditions By joining hands, we can pave the way for a greener and more sustainable future for generations to come. Miami-based Sea Cheetah Corporation is setting the stage for a maritime revolution with the introduction of its hydrogen-electric powered sea gliding vessels, in collaboration with French aerospace firm H3 Dynamics. This cutting-edge partnership aims to bring the future of high-speed, sustainable maritime travel to coastal regions across the globe, with an eye toward greener, more efficient transportation. The highlight of Sea Cheetah's innovation is its Wing-in-Ground-Effect (WIGE) vessel, which uses advanced technology to glide just meters above the water, reducing friction and allowing it to reach speeds of over 135 knots (250 kph). With this new transportation ecosystem, Sea Cheetah aims to drastically reduce travel times between coastal cities and islands, offering a faster, eco-friendly alternative to both maritime and aerial transport. It also serves as a pivotal rationale behind governmental support for the establishment of such routes. SALB poses a severe threat to rubber plantations, a critical economic asset in South America. Given that Southeast Asia ranks among the world's foremost rubber producers, preventing the introduction of SALB is of paramount importance. The rapid proliferation of this fungal disease, with a lifespan of merely 24 hours, underscores the urgency of minimizing transit times. Without direct flights, travel durations exceed this critical timeframe, potentially facilitating the spread of SALB into Southeast Asia. Consequently, implementing direct flight connections would help mitigate the risk of SALB transmission and safeguard the integrity of Southeast Asia's rubber industry." #aviationfacts #aviation #airlines #southeastasiaandsouthamerica Know more
