It's today! The pulmonary hypertension patient community is buzzing with anticipation as we eagerly await the unveiling of the preliminary results from the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI) Global Pulmonary Hypertension Survey, #PHGPS, initiated in October 2023. These are being presented today at 14:25 by Joanna Pepke-Zaba, Joe Newman, Matt J. Granato and Mark Toshner during a session titled: PATIENT ENGAGEMENT & EMPOWERMENT. This survey, the first of its kind, has been designed to help improve global understandings of how pulmonary hypertension affects the lives of patients and in what ways pulmonary hypertension care needs to be improved. The survey has been written by a multidisciplinary panel of pulmonary hypertension specialists and patient group advocates from the pulmonary hypertension associations of Europe, United States, United Kingdom and South Africa. It was coordinated by the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute (PVRI) “Patient Engagement & Empowerment Workstream” (of which the Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension is a member) and was endorsed by the ERN-LUNG.
