Yesterday we had a Board of Trustees meeting for Tigers4Ever, reviewing the financial year 2023/24 and looking forward to 24/25’s fundraising targets and priority projects. Veterans Day donation matching Stand-To Match Day **Next Monday, November 11, 2024** Stand-To Match Day provides an opportunity for growth for participating organizations that strive to do good works and an opportunity for the community to support these causes. On this day, donations made through the Armed Forces Community Foundation to participating funds will receive a 50% match that can be used for their most crucial needs. The Patterson Family Foundation will award up to $70,000 to AFCF for dollar per dollar raised during match days, with up to $35,000 saved for upcoming community enrichment project opportunities and up to $35,000 for participating organizations. Fundraising goal: War Horses for Veterans is seeking $20,000 in funds to assist us in building a new barn. Our current barn was built in the late 1800’s and has been updated however, lacks the room, storage of equipment, and feeding supplies to meet our current needs. With the growth over the last several years, our addition of more horses and equipment has been steady with the demand of our programs. Currently, we have been using temporary housing in the lower level of our property to house horses. This structure is exposed to the elements all year with open portions of each stall for air flow. The temporary stalls are not ideal, which has caused us not to use all the stalls available due to the deterioration of the structure.
