On a national scale, in the UK, a new report published last week by Bridget Gorham, titled "Women's Health Economics: Investing in the 51%", reveals that for every additional £1 invested in obstetrics and gynaecology services per woman in England, the ROI is £11, potentially adding £319 million in gross value added (GVA) to the economy.
