𝗜𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 This morning, as part of the Sustainable Action Week in Meppel, we had the pleasure of welcoming secondary school students to Ferr-Tech for an exciting and hands-on excursion. During the visit, the students learned about how we clean wastewater in a green and sustainable way using FerSol in our lab. After a presentation and introduction to Ferr-Tech, we took the students on a tour of our facilities, showcasing how sustainability is at the heart of our work. Reflecting on the importance of sustainability, our CTO, Sina, shared: "As an engineer, I feel a strong responsibility for the future sustainability of our world. I believe that engineers should have a code of ethics that guides them to design and implement solutions that are not only innovative and effective, but also ethical and eco-friendly." The Sustainable Action Week is a fantastic initiative that gets young people involved in exploring sustainability, nature, and technology, and we’re proud to have been part of it. We hope the students left inspired and with a deeper understanding of the importance of sustainable practices!

Excited to share the energy and insights from the official launch of Brightlands Circular Space in Sittard-Geleen! In this opening program, Marc Spekreijse had the opportunity to lead one of the opening interviews. Supported by the Nationaal Groeifonds this initiative will help bright minds and entrepreneurs leverage the open infrastructure. The new facilities are designed to host parties who are able to increase the quantity and improve the quality of circular plastics by upscaling technologies and is provided by Brightlands Chemelot Campus , TNO and Universiteit Maastricht. As Lia Voermans of BCS, highlighted: "This is only the first stage. Our mission goes beyond recycling tech, it’s about transforming ecosystems, building new business models, and shifting consumer and industry behavior. The momentum we created today is only the beginning." We’re all looking forward to seeing the next stage, the construction of the demonstration facility, and can’t wait to witness the powerful collaborations and innovations that will emerge. #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #Innovation #Brightlands #CircularPlastics #Collaboration #GrowthFund #BCS #OpenInfrastructure

🔬 Exploring Innovation at Blue City Rotterdam with Clear Rivers 🌱 In early June I had the opportunity of guiding the Clear Rivers team through the Blue City infrastructure, the highlight of which was visiting some of the most exciting spaces at BlueCity (010) Rotterdam—our state-of-the-art laboratories. It was a fantastic opportunity to showcase how these labs are pushing the boundaries of sustainability and circularity. We explored our Fungi Lab, Biochemistry Lab, Microbiology Lab, and Fabrication Lab, where groundbreaking research and innovation are transforming waste into valuable resources and sustainable materials. Human history has been defined by the materials we've used - Stone Age, Copper Age, Bronze Age, Iron Age, Steel Age. We hope to now usher in the age of sustainable materials. At BlueCity (010), we explore the future of sustainability together—one lab at a time! 🌍💡 #Sustainability #CircularEconomy #BlueCityRotterdam #Innovation #EnvironmentalScience #ClearRivers #FutureOfBusiness #SustainableDevelopment

As I reflect on my academic journey, I’m filled with a sense of accomplishment and gratitude. Today, I proudly share that I’ve graduated with a mastère’s degree in Green, Social and Digital Management: Green Tech from ESI GREEN & SOCIAL BUSINESS SCHOOL 🎓 From Uncertainty to Passion: My Green Tech Journey 💚 Embarking on this path was a leap into the unknown—a pure hazard, as some might say. The field of Green Tech was uncharted territory for me, a complex blend of innovation and responsibility that seemed daunting at first. Yet, as I delved deeper, my apprehension transformed into fascination, and eventually, into a burning passion. This degree has been more than an academic pursuit; it’s been a transformative experience that has reshaped my understanding of our relationship with the environment. I’ve grappled with challenging concepts, engaged in thought-provoking debates, and contributed to projects that pushed the boundaries of sustainable technology. I’m eager to channel my newfound knowledge and enthusiasm into a career that aligns with my values—where every challenge is an opportunity to innovate for a better world. Here’s to a future where technology meets ecology in the most harmonious way possible 🥂 #GreenTechGrad #SustainableInnovation
