Greek buyers have once again emerged as the dominant force in the S&P tanker market, as entities based in the UAE, Turkey and India have significantly scaled back their activity. Dimitris Roumeliotis from Xclusiv Shipbrokers Inc. notes that high prices, limited interest from countries engaged in Russian trade, and a growing preference for newbuildings are the main factors contributing to the decline in global transactions for second-hand tankers.

I would like to thank the organization of COBRAMSEG 2024 for the opportunity to present some of the work that has been developed. The quality control of rock tunnels with shotcrete lining is still carried out exclusively through destructive tests. However, the use of non-destructive tests may be a possibility to improve the quality control, increasing the amount of information quickly and with a cost-effective alternative, as show in the article presented in the congress.
