Densification Aluminium (Densal): Bodycote offers Hot Isostatic Pressing, a casting densification service specifically for aluminium to remove porosity and increase the performance of aluminium alloys. By removing this porosity, Densal® improves the performance of aluminium castings which are subjected to high dynamic loads, such as are seen in performance-critical applications. A small behind-the-scenes look at the Synova Waterjet laser process in the new Choron factory in Dubai. For us, the key factors that make this such an efficient way of cutting stones are: ● Reduced damage - the water jet cools the cutting area, reducing the risk of diamonds being damaged due to the extreme heat of the laser. ● Smooth side walls - the water is used to help create a smoother side wall. ● High production rates - the laser beam is guided by the waterjet preventing any wasted time on distance control. ● Low weight loss - considerably less weight loss compared to other traditional laser cutting processes. Attended CCMT 2024 from 8 to 12 April at Shanghai New International Exhibition Center. As expected, could connect with many buyers from Russia. These exhibitions are the mirror of the trends in industry. Here I saw the increasing trend of multiple operations in one machine. The emission norms, electric and hydrogen technology demands high level of accuracy, cross reference dimensions and surface finish to get best efficiency, lowest heat, noise and vibration. To achieve this, maximum operations are completed in single set up. High level of automation ensures consistency, productivity, no rejection, uninterrupted production, traceability, lower per piece cost. We will see more and more machines beyond 5 axis, multiple horizontal and vertical spindles. Turning and milling, Hard Turning and Grinding, multiple axis grinding machines with multiple axis and so on... Anyway, standard machines will keep selling with more competion and lower margins.
