Nice "kiwi 😉 example" of the external pressure effect... Instead of the kiwi - just to imagine a large, expensive pressure vessel containing the dangerous chemicals, surrounded by the other equipment, (in the fact, also not cheap), placed @ a chemical plant, refinery,... where people are working & moving daily... That’s just one of many reasons why to "know-how" 😏 ... how to work with the ASME BPVC series, with the european directive PED 2014/68/EU or with the EN pressure series (also how to use them between each other) in a cost-effective way - for the purpose to design, manufacture & certify a profitable pressure equipment with the highest level of safety.

Selecting the correct O-ring material for high-temperature applications is crucial. Special elastomeric grades such as ACM, AEM, HNBR, FKM, FEPM, and FFKM offer excellent resistance to harsh conditions, chemicals, and extreme pressures. Criteria for Selection: • Temperature Range: Ensure the material can handle the operating temperatures. • Chemical Compatibility: Verify resistance to specific chemicals. • Pressure Resistance: Ensure durability against high pressures and fluctuations. • Mechanical Properties: Evaluate toughness, flexibility, and durability. • Standards and Certifications: Compliance with industry standards like NORSOK M-710, NACE TM0187, NACE TM0192, and API 6A is essential. For high-temperature applications in the Oil and Gas industry, selecting the right O-ring material is vital for ensuring durability and performance. Materials like FKM, FEPM, HNBR, and FFKM are excellent choices. #OilAndGas #HighTemperatureORings #ElastomericMaterials #EngineeringSolutions #Durability #Performance #IndustryStandards #IndustrialComponents #EngineeringSolutions #ReliableSealing #Durability #Performance #Ismat #EngineeringEssentials #ManufacturingExcellence #CustomerFocus #AutomationProducts

In the petrochemical industry, the structural integrity of operational equipment is critical for ensuring safety, improving operational efficiency, and meeting regulatory standards. However, traditional methods of carrying out 3D measurements to inspect corrosion and assessing vessel integrity can be cumbersome and time-consuming at best. This case study explores the adoption of the HandySCAN SILVER™|Elite, coupled with VXintegrity software, at a Spanish refinery that was introduced to our scanning technology by our partner agent Jesus Contreras from Tecno NDT, who helped Creaform on guiding the refinery maintenance department to make the decision to use modern metrology-grade non-destructive testing (NDT) solutions to overcome their inspection challenges. These two Flexaseal Plan 53A Barrier Fluid Systems have just arrived in today's shipment from Houston, USA. These systems are set to be installed in a double cartridge seal application for a chemical pump at a local chemical plant. HOW IT WORKS: A pressurised external barrier fluid reservoir drives the circulation of clean fluid to a pressurised dual mechanical seal, effectively lubricating both the inner and outer seal faces. This ensures optimal performance and longevity of the sealing system. The reservoir can also be equipped with level, pressure, and temperature instrumentation, providing real-time feedback on mechanical seal health. Our Flexaseal barrier seal reservoirs are proudly made in Houston, USA, and are built to the stringent ASME Section VIII standards, with ASME U code stamps available. All our barrier fluid systems, whether custom or standard, meet the current API 682 requirements, ensuring top-notch quality and reliability.
