ESTL are happy to announce the release of a guideline document (ESA-ESTL-TM-0375 01-) addressing the introduction of new oils and greases into space mechanism qualification programs. The need for clarity and standardisation in defining prerequisites for lubricant adoption in a mechanism qualification program has never been more critical. This comprehensive guideline, now available in our ESTL Members' Area, offers insights into ESA's position on verifying and validating "new-to-space" lubricants or variants of existing fluid lubricants. Very proud to have received the Leslie Holliday prize for significant technical contribution to composites materials development at the IOM3 today.
