What have you heard about allergic reactions? (I tried to summarize all you need to know) An allergy is an overreaction of the body's immune system to a normally harmless substance. When the immune system encounters the allergy-causing substance (allergen), it mistakenly identifies it as a threat and releases antibodies to attack it. People maybe allergenic to different things: → Mold → Latex → Pollen → Foods → Dust mites → Pet dander → Medications → Insect stings/bites These trigger the release of histamine and other chemicals that cause allergic symptoms. The very common allergic symptoms are ↳ Itchy Eye ↳ Rapid pulse ↳ Runny Nose ↳ Difficulty breathing ↳ Drop in blood pressure ↳ Rash on skin (where allergen made contact) We are able to investigate what you are allergic to in the laboratory once an allergy is suspected.
