Food for the Hungry Canada’s Post

Swapna's community had a problem—they couldn't get enough water. Forty families shared just four wells, two of which dried up for six months of the year. This meant women had to wait hours for their turn to collect water and families couldn't bathe or wash clothes regularly. Worst of all, families often fell ill from waterborne diseases. But, thanks to generous Canadians who gave Gift Guide items like Clean Water and Water Wells, FH Bangladesh worked with the community to prioritize clean water access. Swapna, a mother and leader in the community, donated her own land for the new waterpoint site! "Now I and all my neighbours drink safe and pure water,” Swapna tells us.
