A Diwali I'll Never Forget 🌟
Today marks a milestone in my 17-year career. For the first time ever, I received a Diwali gift from my company—an air fryer from Quorum Software. While the gift itself is lovely, it’s the emotions behind it that really touched me.
In all these years, I watched colleagues, friends, and acquaintances share their joy over Diwali gifts from their workplaces. And every time, a small part of me wondered what it would feel like to be recognized in that way. 17 years—and not once did I experience that for myself.
But today, that changed.
I joined Quorum Software in February 2024, and I can't express how overwhelmed I was when our India Manager, Titiksha Mukherjee , personally handed over the gift to each one of us. It wasn’t just a Diwali gift; it felt like a symbol of care, of being valued, of belonging to something meaningful.
Here’s what made it even more special: Diwali is still a few days away, but knowing that many of us would be on vacation during the festival, the company chose to gift it today during our India Townhall, when most of us were present. This thoughtful gesture showed how much they care, making sure no one is left out.
And there’s more—the company didn’t just stop at giving us the air fryer. They arranged a demo session at the office to show us how to use it! This, to me, is true care and belonging—ensuring everyone feels supported and no one is left behind.
For me, and for my family, this moment meant everything. It’s not about the size or cost of the gift—it’s the love, respect, and thoughtfulness behind it that makes it so special. After 17 years, I finally feel like I’ve found a place where I truly belong, where the smallest gestures have the biggest impact.
