For quite some time, I asked myself the question, “what would I do next that has a significant positive impact on my grandchildren’s world and beyond?” I am excited to share that I have joined enspired as Chief of Staff. One (the?) central puzzle piece to make the energy transition happen are investments in flexibility (“making renewable energy available to grid stability when sun and wind are not producing”, i.e. to be achieved through battery energy storage systems - "BESS"). These investments are heavily depending on the commercial optimization of the underlying assets. What enspired built from scratch is solving that problem: An entirely digital in-house trading platform, powered by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning models, paving the way to highly profitable investments in BESS through automated (no single human trader involved) cross-market battery optimization. In my first few weeks on the job, I witnessed an organization which constantly proves that dreaming big is valued and pays off; company culture is ranked as an USP and defended fiercely. Add a hand-selected group of the most knowledgeable individuals and a proven founder team with 100+ years of industry expertise to that. What Wolfgang Eichberger, jürgen pfalzer, Cornelia Habetler, Johann Schütz & Juergen Mayerhofer started in 2020 will soon be a 100-people-team from (currently) 20 nations, to deliver a globally unique product that directly impacts how fast renewable energy can be rolled out through our world.
