Join us TODAY on the main stage at Great Lakes EXPO in Grand Rapids as we present a live panel discussion on a topic ALL farmers can embrace. In an industry where unpredictable challenges like weather and regulations are constant, farmers must focus on what they CAN control in order to succeed. Our CEO and co-founder, Joshua Farray sits down on the main stage with Michigan ag experts to explore how accessing and analyzing real-time metrics can help farmers of ALL sizes make critical decisions, influence policy, and optimize resource use. A special thank you to @Sarah Black, General Manager at Great Lakes Ag Labor Services (Michigan Farm Bureau Family of Companies), Jamie Clover Adams, Executive Director at Michigan Asparagus and Justin Finkler , Operations Manager at Riveridge Produce Marketing, Inc. for helping us uncover how a focus on what you can control will create a roadmap to success for your farm. #glexpo #Farming #Agriculture #LaborManagement #FarmPlanning #AgTech

Economic conditions in Midwest agriculture have fluctuated significantly in recent years, with an increasing focus on managing costs and inputs in a lower price environment. On December 3, join experts from academia, industry, and policy institutions at the Midwest Agriculture Conference. This year’s hybrid event will look at shifts in agricultural inputs for Midwest farming. The lay of the land for farming has evolved as technological, financial, and competitive factors have brought change. Let us guess, you’re wondering how that will be possible? While it may be shocking, it’s true. Studies are showing an enormous increase in our population by 2050 and more people mean more food. But here’s the thing - farmers are losing farmland and they are being hit with more regulation, labor shortages and of course diminishing resources. This is where the innovation, efficiency and resourcefulness farmers have displayed for generations will come into play. Farmers are built to overcome challenges and persevere. Pacific Ag Rentals is committed to partnering with American farmers to find real solutions to supply and demand by ensuring they have access to the technology and machinery to get the job done. If you’re an American farmer seeking more uptime so you can get more done in less time, we can help with our easy and affordable ag equipment rental options. Today, I had the privilege of attending the Washington State Ag Viability Conference hosted by the WSDA and Washington State University. First off, a shameless plug and shout out to AgForestry Leadership program! Throughout the day alumni were on the stage demonstrating inclusive leadership. Way to go AgForestry alumni! The day was filled with important insights many underscoring the staggering challenges faced by ag producers while still others reminded us of the passion and tenacity of farmers. Did you know that Washington State is home to over 300 different commodities, contributing a staggering $21 billion to our economy? Yakima County leads the charge as the top county for agricultural production. Washington is the most trade-driven economy in the nation. Another stat shared was that in Washington we are three times more likely to know a farmer. Sadly, that may change as the most recent census showed we’re losing farms annually. I wish I could say a solution for solving the imbalance of costs of production to grower returns was found. However there are small things we each can do to impact agriculture viability today - communicate with lawmakers, collaborate with neighbors, work with industry associations, and promote the stories of farmers who are working hard to feed the world. Thank you to the organizers of todays event and each of the speakers! #Agriculture #WashingtonState #Farming #AgEconomy

There is no end to the number of pithy quotes about being wasteful, so we will stick with the answer from our research team... ANSWER: First, we are not trying to displace annual cover cropping systems – farmers who do annual cover cropping can and should continue their annual cover cropping practices. That said, in the #Midwest, more than 90% of the production landscape is not cover-cropped. We need approaches that are low-barrier-to-entry and will be taken up at scale. We think PGC could be one such approach and believe that the ecosystem service benefits of a low-yielding perennial groundcover justify the further development of this system. Agriculture is not my “niche”. This is who I am and what I stand for, not just some “marketing tactic”. I get told all the time how cool it is that “you found your niche” from folks outside the Ag industry. That is not what this is. Agriculture is the life blood of Atlas AG Media Solutions and myself. It is inseparable from what we do everyday and because of that it means we say no to everything that is outside of it. We are Ag only and always will be. Because for us to do what needs to be done to SERVE this industry, Agriculture can be our ONLY focus. Here to SERVE Ag and nothing else. atlasmediasolutions.net #agriculture #farming #ranching #cows #media #leadership #marketing

In agriculture, companies often rely on intermediaries to connect with farmers, but this can create a gap. Without direct feedback, we risk losing valuable insights that drive better solutions. At Stratus, we understand the importance of breaking through that isolation. By building stronger relationships with the end users, we not only stay ahead of the curve but also ensure we’re truly meeting the needs of the people who rely on these products every day. How well are you staying connected to those who matter most? #AgResearch #Farming #Agriculture
