Yesterday our game students and academics had a chance to hear from the creators of Fiero, Ruan and Diletta. They are very nice, passionate and experienced people. It was really interesting to hear about the journey and the approach that they took to create a zero-code game engine.

Reflecting on this year's highlights so far, participating in The Global Game Jam truly stands out. Collaborating with Amasha Das, Kritika Mishra, and Nishant Modi on "Kid Stacking" was an incredible experience. The game features two kids dressed in a trench coat, cosplaying an adult, and navigating challenges together to meet their date. Yup, that's the game! The reason I look back at this experience so fondly is that after 48 sleepless hours, seeing fellow jammers play our game and watching our intentions come to life in the gameplay was incredibly rewarding. As designers, isn't that what we aim for? Hence, it is important to document and reevaluate the design process because it helps us understand the journey from the initial idea to the final prototype. Phoenix - The Descendant of Hydra (The Tale of Thousand Legends) This is my second game and first game developed in unity. I spent over 90 hours developing this game for BUET CSE Fest 2024 Gamejam. Every game mechanics was implemented from scratch. In the last 3 days, I had like 12 hours of sleep all together. Coming up with a story related to the theme, also mechanism to go with it was a really tough for me. This year's theme was "Heroes Never Dies".
