We’re excited to welcome Hayley Knight as our new part-time IT technician!
Hayley graduated from Salem State University in 2017 with a degree in Computer Science. After college, she gained valuable IT support experience and worked as an automotive technician—a passion that continues as a hobby.
She lives in Newbury, MA, with her dog, Frank. In her free time, Hayley enjoys making and fixing things, from cars to costumes. She’s also an avid gamer with a collection of classic Nintendo consoles and loves spending weekends with friends at her parent’s lake house in Maine.
My five-year-old asked me what I did at Horace Mann today.
Caught off guard, I said something like, “I color pictures that tell the computer humans what to build.” Not my finest work — it was my quick attempt to describe the business process mapping I worked on today. To all of the IT professionals I work with; I sincerely apologize for my poor attempt to explain how our departments collaborate!
I promised her I’d come up with a better explanation—and I did:
Imagine someone at work wants to switch their Lincoln Log tower to a Lego tower. My job is to figure out how they’re using their Lincoln Logs now, understand how their tower is built, and learn what they want their Lego tower to look like. Then, I draw a picture of their dream Lego tower and share it with the Lego experts. They build the tower, and if it gets wobbly, we work together to fix it.
How would you explain your job to a five-year-old?
Such a good thing to start July with😁
This is an Incremental Beeping System, it beeps and makes sound based on the closeness of objects, the closer the object is the faster the duration of beeping and vice-versa.
This system can be seen and even be utilized in industries to give off incremental beeping sounds for impending dangers notifications and also in modern automobiles based on how close the car is to an obstacle.✨💡
Whether you’re celebrating the 4th of July tomorrow with friends and family or out on the road, we encourage you to stay safe and smart. The roads will be busier than normal as many will travel to enjoy the day, so keep these tips in mind:
• Allow extra time to get where you're going.
• Be aware of increased law enforcement presence on the roads.
• Be mindful of your speed, following distance, and changing weather conditions.
• Make adjustments to create extra space between you and other vehicles.
• Be on the lookout for distracted drivers.
Effective January 1, 2025, vision screenings will be required for anyone renewing a Kentucky driver’s license.
This new requirement, passed by the Kentucky General Assembly in 2021, aims to enhance highway safety by ensuring all drivers maintain good vision throughout their driving careers. Regular vision screenings help identify any impairments that could affect a driver’s ability to operate a vehicle safely, protecting both the driver and others on the road.
Kentucky joins several other states, including Indiana, Ohio, and Missouri, in adopting mandatory vision screenings for license renewals. The goal is simple: to ensure drivers have the visual acuity necessary for safe driving.

As a marketer, I just want to say... what a smart idea! 💡
Nobody can deny that Collision Conf is a great event, an ideal platform to connect with providers, clients, and, of course, investors 🤑 . But that's exactly why it's full of competitors too 😥 . So, in this ocean of companies, entrepreneurs, and start-ups, how can you stand out from the crowd? 🤷♂️
Cormac Doyle and his partner made a difference, wearing wizard costumes 🧙♂️ 🧙♂️ that perfectly matched their product named Merlin (a legendary wizard 🏰 ). This, as simple as it may seem, makes a huge difference. It not only captures attention during the event but also afterward with the content (videos and photos 📸 ) you produce. People will remember your brand 🧠 because of the impression you made, and someone like me will share your content 🔄 because it’s valuable. That’s why, dear Cormac, that was a truly smart idea.
This is the essence of the marketing strategy.
What do you think—was it a smart move?
