Are you struggling to showcase your impact on your resume? It’s not just about listing your responsibilities, but highlighting the results you’ve achieved. Here's what recruiters want to see: 💡 Results over Responsibilities: Instead of saying "managed client relationships," explain the impact: "Increased client retention by 20% through improved relationship management." 💡 Quantify Your Achievements: Use numbers to make your results tangible. For instance, "Increased revenue by 51% within 10 months by optimizing sales strategies." Yes, there's always a way to find REAL numbers! Even if your job doesn’t seem data-driven, you can find metrics. Think about time saved, projects completed ahead of schedule, or increased collaboration and partnerships. 💡Tailor Your Resume: Avoid the "spray and pray" approach. Apply early, apply less, and apply focused. Customize your resume for each job to highlight your most relevant achievements. 💡 Bullets over Summary: Replace buzzword-filled paragraph summaries at the top of your resume with specific, impactful bullet points. For example, "10+ years of supervisory experience with teams sizes ranging from 2-45 people." Start highlighting your impact today and stand out to recruiters! #advice #linkedinadvice #tips #careertips #recruiter #resumereview #tailored #tailoryourresume #recruiteradvice #hiring #connect #network

5 problems I hear from job seekers every day: 1) "I haven't got a clue where/how to get started." 2) "I'm not getting any feedback on my resume." 3) "My network seems inactive and unhelpful." 4) "Recruiters are overlooking my LinkedIn." 5) "I struggle to engage with my peers." How I help job seekers achieve clarity in their career trajectory without feeling overwhelmed: 1st, we define your "what's next": — Together, we establish your career vision/goals. — This foundation drives everything that follows. — It transforms doubt into a clear action plan. 2nd, we build a cohesive resume/LinkedIn profile: — Aligning your career narrative across platforms. — This boosts your marketability via clear copy. — It grabs the attention of decision-makers. 3rd, we develop a targeted networking strategy: — We identify and engage with key stakeholders. — This enhances visibility within your industry. — It fosters deep, long-lasting relationships. How do you plan to redefine your career path?

For those of you navigating LinkedIn as part of your #unexpectedjobsearch, I came across a succinct guide from Dorothy Mashburn. This guide can help set a strategy for the time you spend on LinkedIn. I especially like Tip Number 9 in this guide -- Deliberate Plan to Comment -- because commenting can be one of the easiest ways to begin engaging on this platform! Several years ago, I decided to be more active on LinkedIn. Admittedly, I was a little intimidated and overwhelmed. Here are 3 main things that helped me to become more active on LinkedIn: 1) Start by commenting on other peoples’ posts. It helps you to gradually gain confidence. Eventually, you’ll feel confident enough to turn one of those comments into a post of your own! 2) Know that you can edit your posts/comments at any time … or even delete them. 3) Try writing your post/comment outside the platform — in Google docs, Word, etc. This will help you experiment with topics and your voice in a “safe” way. Plus, it will give you several samples to pull from later on! I hope this helps you to get more engaged on LinkedIn. Special thanks to Daniel Wlosowicz and Dorothy Mashburn for inspiring this post! #networking #linkedintips #personalbranding

Here's the insider's guide to reaching out to hiring managers or recruiters: ➡️ MAKE IT ABOUT THEM, NOT YOU: Research the company's open positions to understand their needs. Clearly articulate why you're the solution they're looking for. Initiate conversations even if there are no immediate job openings. ➡️ CREATE A GENUINE CONNECTION: Tap into their experience and insights by asking meaningful questions. Stand out by showing interest in them as professionals, not just their roles. Building a real connection increases the likelihood of receiving help and guidance. ➡️ AVOID SENDING YOUR RESUME: Especially if you've already applied; they have this information. Share something unique about yourself instead, like a personalized voice note message or a video. Demonstrating effort and personalization can set you apart and foster a deeper connection. Using these pro tips will help you grab their attention in the right ways. What would you add? #professionalwomen #jobseekers #networking #authenticitywithandrea #connectionfordirection

Feeling invisible to recruiters? Your LinkedIn "About" section might be the missing piece! Here’s how you can make it shine and why it is so important: ✨ Start with a Strong Opener: Introduce yourself with a clear, compelling statement of who you are and what you are capable of doing to bring value to a role in your field. 🎯 Show Off Your Achievements: Highlight 3-5 key accomplishments using bold headlines and relevant keywords. Recruiters don't read ever word of your resume! 🛠 Add Your Core Skills: Create a list of your top skills that align with your career. Even though these are listed under the skills section on LinkedIn, increase the chance of being found by listing them again. Why go through all this effort? Because recruiters and LinkedIn’s algorithm look at your entire profile—especially the "About" section! The more you optimize it, the more likely you are to pop up in recruiter searches and catch a recruiter’s eye. 👀 Don’t let this crucial section go to waste. It’s your chance to tell your story, showcase your strengths, and make a lasting impression. The journey is yours... #LinkedInTips #CareerGrowth #PersonalBranding #JobSearch #CareerCoach
