Kindly remember: what you start with will stick. 🤔 For many, AI use cases bring one word to mind: efficiency. And yes, efficiency can be the right place to start – if it solves your biggest pain point. However, jumping to efficiency without clarity can be both misleading and harmful, affecting your organization's culture and bottom line. 🚨 This was the core message of my keynote at the CDO 2024 at FIR an der RWTH Aachen: Be decisive about what you want to achieve with AI!! If your challenge is cost pressure, then efficiency use cases – like automating quotation creation – make perfect sense, especially during economic downturns. But if your pain point lies elsewhere, focus AI there. For instance: 🌟 Enhancing business models: Don’t just sell parts or machines – add value by offering services like advising users with insights from AI like usage analysis to help them get the most out of your products. 🚀 Boosting sales: This is an efficiency use case, but its true power lies in increasing revenue. Automating lead gen, qualification, and outreach doesn’t just save time – it creates more effective sales pipelines. 🎯 Hyper-personalization: Use AI to solve precise challenges, like matching employees to tasks based on their skills and preferences for higher job satisfaction while aligning with business objectives. AI isn’t just about doing things faster or cheaper – it’s also about doing things differently. So we maybe want to ask ourselves: what’s the right pain point to solve first? #insideAI #1000breakthroughs
