We recently received a case of an 18 year old beneficiary (Beneficiary public code: 38130831LOT) referred by Malaysia Welfare Department KL (JKMWPKL) who recently lost both parents. He has younger siblings who are at the risk of being sent to orphan homes. He was forced to abandon his undergraduate studies because he chose to care for his younger siblings. If anyone would like to help him ease his financial burden of having to suddenly care for three younger siblings, we invite public or corporate donors in order to give him RM2,500 per month for 6 months, to get him settled and hopefully continue with an online tertiary education. Beneficiary 38130831LOT is a verified beneficiary on GoBarakah.com. For any enquiries please email help@gobarakah.com If you'd like to help him and his siblings, please follow these steps: 1) Go to this link: https://lnkd.in/gTdNFxPx 2) Choose how much to donate (any amount would help). 3) Choose Voucher Type- Cash Assistance, Grocery or Back-To-School or choose all. 4) Add to Cart and Pay ❗️Please key in the Purchase Order column the beneficiary public code: 38130831LOT❗️ 5) Once your payment is completed, team GoBarakah will assign your donation to beneficiary 38130831LOT 6) As a donor, you will receive a notification email when your donation has been assigned and sent to the beneficiary's phone/email. 7) The beneficiary will be notified instantly and can withdraw your voucherized cash donation to their verified bank account within 24 hours, or if a grocery e-voucher is assigned, he can redeem it at Mydin or any participating grocer. GoBarakah facilitates secure and traceable giving by voucherizing all donations through the platform, to be sent to beneficiaries (verified individuals, organizations, programme owners, mosques etc). Beneficiary public codes are unique identifiers that protect the beneficiaries' sensitive data. May your generosity be rewarded 🙏 *Team GoBarakah* #impact #socialassistance

I have NGO name "Parityaj Welfare Foundation".. if you know anyone who need help in education please #contact... or #repost... Well the post is about other NGOs... When I started donating, I reached out to some NGOs to ask if they knew of any orphaned children who needed help with education—whether it was for school fees, stationery, books, uniforms, shoes, etc. The typical response I received was, "Yes, we know children in need. If you pay us, you’ll get this rebate from the government, that rebate under another section, you can save tax, and so on..." It felt strange. After 30 minutes of conversation, none of these women actually discussed the children who needed help. When they realized that I wasn’t offering money directly, but instead offering to pay school fees, provide books, and donate stationery (which I get from Chawri Bazar, where it's made, so it’s much cheaper), their interest quickly faded. It seems NGOs are more focused on grabbing money than genuinely supporting the cause they were established for. #ngo #india #nonprofit #socialimpact #socialworker #education #volunteer

🍽️ Nourishing Minds, Building Futures with KSSD Trust! 🌱 At KSSD Public Charitable & Welfare Trust, we understand that hunger is more than just an empty stomach – it's a barrier to education and personal growth. For the 350+ underprivileged children we support, access to nutritious meals is often the first step toward achieving their dreams. 💡 Through our partnership with #FeedingIndia, we've been able to provide much-needed meals to children and families in need. This initiative not only addresses hunger but also empowers our students to focus on their studies and improve their overall well-being. 📚✨ When children have access to regular, healthy meals, they are more attentive in class, their energy levels rise, and their potential for success multiplies. We're proud to see the positive changes in the lives of these students and their families through this life-changing support. But our work is far from over. You can help us fuel the future! 🚀 How you can support KSSD Trust: 🍛 Donate food to our community programs 👥 Volunteer to distribute meals and teach life skills 🗣️ Raise awareness about the fight against hunger and educational inequality Let’s continue to build a stronger, healthier, and more educated society, one meal at a time. 💪 #KSSDTrust #FeedingIndia #EducationForAll #CommunityImpact #NutritionAndLearning #ZeroHunger #SocialChange #EmpoweringFutures

It’s time to raise the rate for good. Along with ACOSS Australian Council of Social Service, we’re urging the Federal Government to substantially increase Jobseeker, Youth Allowance, and related income support payments to ensure everyone has the support they need during tough times. At OzHarvest we take great care to listen and understand the needs of the community, and we’re working with over 1,500 charities across the country to make sure good food gets to those who need it most. Sadly, food relief only addresses the acute end of food insecurity - more needs to be done to intervene at the root causes, including increase people’s capacity to afford nutritious food through increased income support payments. We saw the impact of this during COVID, when increased individual support meant people could buy food to feed their families. The combination of these payments ending and soaring cost-of-living has seen more people turning to charities for help than ever before. Along with almost 80 other organisations, we’re a proud member of the Australian Council of Social Service (ACOSS) – a national advocacy body for people affected by disadvantage and inequality. Bringing our voices together and demanding systemic change is a huge part of what we stand for at OzHarvest. Please show your support and join us by signing the letter here – https://lnkd.in/guZZr5zb

NGOs: Everyday Heroes Changing Lives Imagine this: A small village where children walk miles to attend a school under a tree. Then, an NGO steps in, builds a classroom, and provides books. Suddenly, the future of those children looks brighter. This isn’t just a story—it’s what thousands of NGOs in India do every single day. India has over 3.2 million NGOs tackling issues like education, healthcare, poverty, and even environmental conservation. Yet, many struggle to keep going due to limited funding and complex compliance requirements. --- How Tax Benefits Help NGOs (And You Too!) Here’s an example: A friend recently donated ₹10,000 to an NGO providing meals to underprivileged kids. Thanks to Section 80G, they claimed a tax deduction and supported a cause they believed in. NGOs themselves benefit from Section 12A, which makes their income tax-free, so more of their funds go directly to impactful projects like building schools or running health camps. --- How Can You Make a Difference? 1. Donate: Contribute to NGOs with 80G certification—it helps them and gives you tax savings. Example: ₹1,000 can provide a month’s worth of food for a family in need. 2. Volunteer: Your time is priceless. Whether it’s teaching, fundraising, or spreading awareness, NGOs thrive on community support. 3. Spread Awareness: Ever shared a story about a good cause? That simple act can inspire others to help. --- Supporting an NGO isn’t just about giving—it’s about changing lives. It’s about ensuring that the child studying under a tree has a classroom, a teacher, and a future. What’s one NGO or cause that has inspired you? Let’s share stories of impact and work together for a better tomorrow! #NGO #SocialImpact #ChangeMakers #NonProfit #Charity #GiveBack #CommunityBuilding #Volunteer #EducationForAll #EndHunger #PovertyAlleviation #HealthcareForAll #EnvironmentalConservation #MakeADifference #BeTheChange #Inspiration #ActNow #SupportLocal #IndiaCares #NGOsOfIndia #SocialWorkIndia #IndianNonProfit

Breaking News! The Government of Canada has just announced that they intend to amend the Income Tax Act to extend the deadline for Canadians to claim charitable donations on their tax returns. Rather than midnight December 31, 2024, the new deadline would be February 28, 2025. Citing the impact of the month-long Canada Post strike as the impetus for the amendment, the government plans to introduce legislation effecting these changes once Parliament returns in the new year. “Charities are at the heart of communities across Canada, lending a helping hand to those in need, explains The Honorable Dominic LeBlanc, Minister of Finance and Intergovernmental Affairs. “This extension recognizes the impact that the Canada Post service disruption had on their fundraising campaigns, and will give charities additional time to receive and process donations so that they can continue their vital work.” Obviously, we would like to see donations sooner rather than later. Why? Because children are hungry today! ->We need your support before we can increase the number of fresh, cooked, nutritious lunches we can send to school with children who live in transitional housing. ->We need your support so we can provide more culturally appropriate, wholesome meals to children and youth attending after school programming in “priority” neighbourhoods. ->We need your support and inspiration as we plan for what our role will be in Ottawa’s first School Meal Pilot Project. Together, in 2024 we helped to nourish a generation of Ottawa children. We are forever grateful that you were by our side City of Ottawa / Ville d’Ottawa A. A. K. Ottawa Community Foundation The United Church of Canada Foundation Yacouba Traoré Eugene Williams Sprott Social Impact Hub Social Planning Council of Ottawa and so many more… Let’s make 2025 the year we replace food insecurity statistics among children with statistics that paint a picture of better food, health and educational outcomes.

It’s been a tough few months for us here at Yorda. We’ve had quite a few fires to fight: 1. Our heating was broken and we have had to find funds to help us fix it. 2. We’ve had a huge reduction in income over the year based on some grants reducing or coming to an end. 3. Same as everyone else our costs have changed with rising energy and food prices and soon to be going up again with the rise in National Minimum Wage. 4. All our grant writing has been put on hold whilst we’ve had to wait for a whole year of being a newly fledged charity to pass. 5. We are really struggling to recruit staff for our childcare projects. So, as some of you may be aware in response to some of the above, we’ve had to reduce our level of services, which means cuts to our usual Adventure Holidays and we’ve had to reduce our childcare services and change up our services to adapt. We are feeling very frustrated BUT, in the typical Yorda way, we want to look forward and try and turn some of this around…but we need your help folks..to fight the fire with us. We turn 18 this year so we are launching our 18for18 Campaign, please consider donating £18 to us or any amount that you can manage as every penny counts, to help us weather this tricky storm. If you can spare £18 or any amount that feels right to you, your contribution will make a meaningful impact and the good news is that we can claim gift aid on these donations. Together, we can continue giving our children and families the best care, the best play and a place to go where they feel at home. We can make a difference in the lives of others but we can’t continue giving our Yorda best without your help. All we need is one donation, simple but so effective. Please use our crowdfunder link to donate - https://lnkd.in/dYMrnaB5 Please do share this with family and friends, thank you. #18for18
