I learned something fascinating recently about Brum's every changing skyline and tall buildings. As a city, we're 140 metres above sea level so our tall buildings cannot go any higher than 160 metres as this takes them 300 metres above sea level which is radar territory. I've often wondered this on visits to Dubai which has the world's tallest building, Shanghai which has the worlds second tallest building and many other cities which have skyscrapers with penthouses in the clouds. So Brum is never going to have the sort of buildings which crane the necks of visitors looking up. That being said, we do still have very tall buildings. And at 140 metres above sea level, we have every right to look down at Manchester and London, geographically, even though I get architecture envy when visiting these cities.
