This week, we kicked off Reforge's Growth Series by talking about my favorite topic, retention, with Raman Malik, Head of Growth at Perplexity. Here's the 💡 lightbulb moment 💡 when Raman was talking about the power of cohort analysis when evaluating the impact of marketing and product initiatives. Thank you Raman, we loved learning from you and the data you shared! ❤️ I loved Raman's case study, and the hands on walkthrough of real retention data. Really helpful to hear what others in the industry do for common problems. ❤️ Retention Metrics are a new concept for me within my role, I found the content extremely relevant and logical. I especially appreciated Raman's direct comparisons of what's happening at Perplexity to the material in the course content. ❤️ Seeing real examples that apply the methodology we've learned is fantastic, especially with a Head of Growth from a company like Perplexity. ❤️ This first class exceeded my expectations. Loved the Perplexity case and real application. ❤️ The retention content was super informative. Learning with an actual use case and the provided examples/discussion with Raman was a great way to learn. ❤️ Raman and Erika worked very well together anchoring the knowledge around actual use-cases and sharing hard earned experiences and insights.

🎊 Celebrating the 5th year at Decision Lab and gearing up for a groundbreaking fiscal year ahead - it's all about data, decisions, and making an impact. As I reflect on my journey, I'm filled with excitement and gratitude. Five years have flown by, and yet, every day is a new adventure. I recently had the pleasure of interviewing some bright young minds. A question that stuck with me was, "What motivates you to come to work every day?" For me, it's the thrill of helping our clients navigate their business challenges. It's about making decisions based on data and creating a tangible impact through our work. Our journey at Decision Lab has been nothing short of incredible. We've seen remarkable growth, doubling in size and strength over the years. This growth is a testament to our unwavering commitment to innovation and our ability to leverage technology to empower our clients. As I plan for the next fiscal year with my talented team - I'm reminded that it's not just about numbers. It's about making an impact and building strategic partnerships with our clients. Meet Maik, our Senior Manager Market Intelligence & Transformation, whose journey with us began in an unexpected yet inspiring way 🚀. After finishing his studies, Maik first started as a temporary worker in sales at Sachsenmilch Leppersdorf GmbH, rapidly switched to a permanent position and then eventually became team lead for order acceptance in internal sales. His next move took him into Product Management, where he managed products like UHT milk, butter, and cream, even revitalizing the Sachsenmilch brand with a major relaunch. 📈 Later, Maik shifted into Business Development where he worked on logistics projects and became increasingly involved with market trends. In his current role as Senior Market Intelligence & Transformation Manager, he is responsible for analysing and interpreting current and future market developments. Gathering data sources and exchanging information with our own specialist departments and service providers or organisations are key elements of his day-to-day work 📊. The insights he gains are shared within the company and are used to help with business decisions, forecasts and customer or supplier discussions.   💡 Maik’s advice for new colleagues?
