May is National Beef Month, a time to honor and celebrate the hard work and dedication of the ranchers who work day in and day out to sustainably produce high-quality beef while stewarding the land and caring for their animals. With them, our work at Open Range Beef is possible. We are proud of our brand, Raise American, which offers delicious and nutritious beef sourced directly from American family farmers who prioritize pasture-raising. By choosing Raise American Beef, you embark on a farm-to-table journey that promises a unique blend of freshness and flavor. Our purchase of Spring Lake Ranch, located in the center of the Nebraska Sandhills region, was aimed at demonstrating that it is possible to produce incredibly delicious and tender beef that can compete with any other type of beef while maintaining an organic, pasture-based, and 100% grass-fed approach. Known as the "Napa of Grass," the Sandhills is the largest intact grassland in the world and is ideal for raising cattle out on pasture. Let's continue to support sustainable agriculture this May. Cheers to a month filled with appreciation and mouthwatering beef experiences! ...and to wrap up, a little factoid about The Sandhills. 😎 #beef #agriculture #regenerativeag #cattle Source: Nebraska Department of Agriculture

#Plant-based "fysh" is not #fish. Y punto. Communication must be a priority to prove that smashed soybeans (or #alternatives) do not deliver what fish can do. With a market full of #labels and #brands, call things what they are, and stop trying to get customers confused with other #products.

Panelists named included chief executives of Grain Growers Limited, Cattle Australia, Australian Fresh Produce Alliance, Australian Dairy, Sheep Producers Australia, Freight and Trade Alliance (FTA) Pty Ltd, Australian Grape and Wine, Seafood Industry Australia, WoolProducers Australia, Cotton Australia, Cane Growers, Australian Pork and the Australian Forest Products Association. “The Australian sheepmeat industry is reliant on and protected by our national biosecurity systems and the market access it affords. As such our industry prioritises investments that enhance biosecurity. Sheep Producers Australia acknowledges the changes recently announced to the proposed biosecurity protection levy and looks forward to the opportunity for further consultation on the details of the amendments. The design of biosecurity funding mechanisms must be underpinned by adequate consultation and engagement with industry, and future funding must ensure equitable arrangements across all beneficiaries of the biosecurity system." What’s better than a Bowen mango in summer? Or sweet macadamias from Bundaberg, creamy bananas from the Cassowary Coast, and fresh beef from Rockhampton? Pineapples from Moreton Bay, and those famous Moreton Bay bugs, aren’t so bad either… 🌾 Today, on National Ag Day, we are celebrating the heart and soul of Queensland’s agriculture sector—the growers, farmers, and producers who are the backbone of our economy and communities. With a forecast production value of $23.56 billion for 2024-2025, Queensland agriculture powers so much of what we eat and enjoy every day. Here’s a look at some of Queensland’s major contributions in 2022-23: 96% of Australia’s sugarcane 🌱 67% of sorghum 🌾 94% of bananas 🍌 70% of macadamias 🌰 65% of avocados 🥑 50% of mandarins 🍊 48% of the nation’s cattle herd 🐄 …and so much more! Many of our local leaders run agricultural businesses too, so they understand firsthand the pride and challenges of this essential industry. What’s your favourite Queensland produce, and where’s it from? Share your thoughts and join us in thanking Queensland’s farmers for their hard work keeping our plates full and our economy strong! 👩🌾👨🌾 #NationalAgDay #ThankAFarmer Queensland Farmers' Federation Whitsunday Regional Council Cassowary Coast Regional Council Bundaberg Regional Council Rockhampton Regional Council City of Moreton Bay
