These young professionals bring fresh energy and ideas, yet there is a growing concern: while HR departments are eager to leverage their contributions, they are often reluctant to offer them permanent positions.The paradox is glaring. Trainees are entrusted with critical tasks and responsibilities, yet when it comes to hiring, the same institutions demand years of experience that these trainees haven't had the opportunity to acquire due to lack of long-term employment opportunities.This practice not only undermines the morale of these aspiring hospitality professionals but also hampers the industry's growth. It's time for a shift in perspective. Hotels should recognize the value of their trainees by providing clear pathways to employment, ensuring that experience is built from within rather than sought externally.
