A key objective in the research project 𝐁𝐞𝐒𝐨𝐆𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐭, co-financed by the European Union, is the involvement of regional stakeholders. After some visits of local breweries, we recently held two focus groups with selected stakeholders from Italy and Austria. The Austrian focus group took place at our partner’s facilities at the FH Kufstein Tirol – University of Applied Sciences. It was held with two main objectives: Firstly, transferring knowledge to stakeholders about the objectives and activities of the BeSoGreat project and secondly, engaging stakeholders in a discussion to gain valuable insights on the Brewer’s Spent Grain biocomposite and its market potential from their point of view. Innovation in the greenhouse: PATS-C At Nieuwkoop Europe, we are committed to continuous innovation in our cultivation processes. With the introduction of 13 PATS-C devices in our greenhouses, we are taking a significant step towards automated pest control. The PATS-C is an innovative system that uses infrared cameras to detect flying insects in the greenhouse at night.
