Guess what I discovered about designing at a startup? I've been on a bit of a break from posting, but I'm back! During my internship at a fast-paced startup, I’ve realized just how crucial it is to become thoroughly familiar with the product. The better you understand it, the better design decisions you can make. This process has been a key part of my experience so far. Working in such a dynamic environment has been both challenging and rewarding. Getting to know the product inside and out has allowed me to create more user-centered designs and contribute meaningfully to the team's goals. I'm excited to share that my project, EngageTrack, won the People's Choice Award for the IT Challenge Project 2024 at Cummins! ⭐ Over 5 weeks, we tackled organizational challenges, and working on EngageTrack was a fantastic experience. This gamified mobile platform enhances intern community engagement through a QR code check-in system that awards points and levels up titles, motivating peers to connect. - Proposed the EngageTrack concept to boost intern engagement. - Designed a QR code check-in system for event participation. - Created UI/UX prototypes with Figma. - Conducted research for a cost-effective, robust system. - Analyzed project costs, maintenance, and timelines for feasibility. This challenge was not only about innovation but also about networking and collaboration with talented interns from various teams. It broadened my horizons and sparked new ideas. As I wrap up my internship at TetraNoodle Technologies, I want to reflect on what made this experience so unique. Working in a startup environment like TetraNoodle was unlike any structured setting I’ve encountered before. The pace here is fast yet purposeful, with a strong focus on learning and adaptability. No two days were the same, and each project required a blend of technical knowledge, flexibility, and critical thinking. The nature of the work often pushed me to develop skills on the spot, particularly when faced with projects that didn’t have predefined solutions—a dynamic that really helped me grow. One standout aspect of TetraNoodle is its commitment to innovation. It’s a place where ideas are encouraged, learning is continuous, and everyone is expected to approach challenges from different angles. Each assignment brought me closer to understanding how impactful technology can be when focused on real-world needs. 🌟 Reflecting on My 6-Month Internship Journey at YC-funded startup Material Depot 🌟 I did a 6-month internship at Material Depot, a Y Combinator funded startup, during my second year of college(2022). As a Full-Stack Web Developer, I had the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies like ReactJS, Material-UI, AntD, and Node.js. 🚀 What Made This Experience Unique? 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁-𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Working in a startup environment is like being on a roller coaster—exciting and challenging! I learned to adapt quickly, make decisions on the fly, and deliver quality work under tight deadlines. 𝗛𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀-𝗢𝗻 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: Spending two months at the office in Bangalore gave me a taste of real-world work culture. Collaborating with a talented team, I gained insights into industry practices and improved my problem-solving skills.
