It's our first At Home Update of 2025! I'm clearly working out the kinks of the format. Clips are hard because there is so much to get into the shortened versions, but you can follow me on TikTok for the full videos! #athomeupdate #travelingdesigner #Savannahga #Savannahfinehomes #interiordesign #interiorremodel #historichomes #designer #designerlife #ourhomeremodel

Amidst the colors of life, we present ourselves in different ways, but when we look in the mirror, we face our true selves. In this piece, I wanted to depict the balance between the image we show the world and our inner reality. What colors do you see when you look in the mirror? #AdobeIllustrator #DigitalArt #Design #ArtWithMeaning

Look at these two shapes. You're probably thinking that the circle is smaller, but it isn't! If we measure them, these two shapes are exactly the same size, but an optical illusion makes the circle appear smaller. To solve this issue, always use shapes with curves, like circles, slightly larger than the other shapes in your design. #logo #logodesigner #design #graphicdesign #graphicdesigner #shape

When I talk to clients about their colour palette and their branding and they return to me with the sentence "We like green" 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ The reason you work on creating a brand identity isn't just to have you look nice and make your board of directors happy. It's to get a conscious or more-often-than-not a subconscious reaction from your audience when they see something associated with you. Your logo? Does it convey who you are? what you do? Is it memorable? Recognizable? How about your typography? Are you modern? Traditional? What are your values? Are you trying to stand out or fit in? And what about your colours? Are you a fast-food chain inciting people to make an impulsive decision - red. Maybe a luxury restaurant - then go for more subtle, pastel colours. How about a SaaS product? Blue conveys trust and security so perfect for finance. Green conveys responsibility and happiness. Designers don't pull this out from thin air. Marketing is psychology. Learn to not only understand people but how everything in life influences them!
