As we as a community journey to discover drugs that modulate the structure and function of condensates for therapeutic benefit, we find that drugs discovered through conventional strategies - several of which are already in the clinic, exert their effects (positive or negative), at least in part, through interactions with condensates. Understanding the nature of the interactions that lead to positive versus negative outcomes can help us develop future drugs that are safer and more effective.
